    D&D Minis: What's missing most?

I noticed that at one point and thought it was weird too. But then it occured to me that it makes perfect sense. I only need one King Snurre, but I would like to have a whole bunch of his minions.

    D&D Minis favorite pack?

I'd probably go with Archfiends, as when they came out I needed a lot of minis that the set delivered. I really enjoyed Giants of Legend too. I was a little disapointed to get 4 bulettes, but it ended up working out well as I gave one to Gospog and actually ended up using the other 3 last...

Thoughts on Fane of the Drow?

Has anyone picked up Fantastic Locations: Fane of the Drow yet? I saw it in the FLGS but it was shrinkwrapped so I couldn't really get a feel for it. I don't particularly care about the poster map, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether or not the other material is any good. Is...

    Drinking at the Game Table?

In my regular group, we almost always drink a couple of beers each during a session, and I have no problem with it. In college we sometimes had people get enough of a buzz that it had a slightly adverse affect on the game but it's never a problem these days (we're mostly about 30 years old)...

[Shackled City]Where on Earth(precisely) is Cauldron

Indeed Wellington is the world's southermost capital at a latitude of close to 41 degrees. So for some perspective, it's about as far south from the tropics as Chicago is north (or Barcelona for a European reference point).

Central Mass. Gameday, Saturday, October 22nd, Success

Hmm, I had thought that I wouldn't be able to make this, but now see that I can after all. I haven't read the whole thread, but if there is still room, I'd love to play in Capellan's Iron Heroes game, as well as a morning game if another one opens up. Thanks!

Worst D&D adventure of all time?

Well, I really like Under Illefarn, but for me it's a given that any published module needs to have most of it's magic items cut out by the DM before hand.

    best 1st level psionic powers?

Mind Thrust, without a doubt. The psion in my game is 8th level now and it's still by far his most used power.

How far do you travel to game?

My regular D&D game happens at my house, so I guess I could be a mishaped die, though most of the time we play on weeknights after work so I still have to get home first (13 miles). My players all come from within a 22 mile radius, though in rush hour, it can take an hour or more to get there...

Which On-line SRD do you use?

Wizards version works fine for me.

Pathfinder 1E A gripey letter to Paizo

I didn't think it was funny either, I was pretty annoyed, especially since most of the stuff was out of print. For that reason, even if it had been insured, I wouldn't have been able to replace most of it (though in subsequent years, I have found and replaced several items via the used bin at...

Pathfinder 1E A gripey letter to Paizo

Yep, when I moved to Seattle back in '98, I made the foolish mistake of shipping all of my D&D stuff via the post office and labeling the boxes so I could more easily sort them when I unpacked. A whole box labeled "old Forgotten Realms stuff" showed up sealed but empty. I had packed it myself...

Why do you buy high-level adventures?

If I buy 'em, it's mostly for reading material as none of my campaigns have ever reached particularly high levels.

Where do DMs usually start out?

I began playing D&D in about '83 with the red box, played random D&D adventures for years, including several set in the Known World, and I drew a map of a homebrew world that was a total rip-off of the Kown World. But the first real campaign that I ever ran was set in the Forgotten Realms...

[FR] Undermountain modules - any good?

I liked Undermountain: The Lost Level best. It's a pretty good take on the standard dwarf-hold turned dungeon.

    Blizzard Pass - your experiences?

This was actually one of the first modules that we ever played (the group version, not the solo), I think the first I ran. Despite the fact that it was fairly short, the players never did make it through. All in all, it has nostalgia value for me but otherwise wouldn't be that memorable.

    Failed promises

Eyebeam, perhaps you could start a new thread to discuss your theory on the relationship between healthy gaming groups and the way they spend money and leave the rest of us here to continue discussing the topic at hand. Thanks.

    Info on American States?

You could try, but you'd be wrong. New England isn't a nebulous entity, it's a clearly defined region that includes the six states that Arrellion listed and no other.

    Info on American States?

Malic, don't trust what you read here, a lot of it is totally off base.

An open "Thank you" to Erik Mona

I'd like to add my echo of thanks to the crew. Regardless of who's decision it was (not following all the threads), I think getting rid of Wil Save was a good idea. And while I'll admit that I don't like Downer either, the spread of adventure levels and lengths and the addition of backdrops...
