What RPG do you most regret parting with?

I had another friend destroy a book but at least he purchased me a replacement.

What RPG do you most regret parting with?

I am exactly the same. I had to adopt this practice after I lent one of my friends my copy of the original Palladium TMNT core book so he could prep a game with it. Then he told me that it had been destroyed when he had a nosebleed all over it.

D&D General JMISBEST's questions. Most of them about campaign ideas that either he or A GM he knows has and wants to know what people think

I rolled on my home brewed background tables for you and apparently they want to run away and become a butter smuggler. Perhaps your characters home realm is dairy deficient?

    Let's talk Virtual Tabletops!

I've been using Roll20 for over a decade and it does the job. One thing I like about is that it doesn't need any software beyond a Web browser.

What Licensed RPG Do You Wish Used A Different System?

I'd have liked to have seen the Terminator rpg use the same system as Aliens and Blade Runner only because it would make an interesting cross over.

    Grade the Modiphius 2d20 System

I'm not a fan of the system. I really have tried to figure the system out and make it work but the whole mechanics is just too fiddly for me to deal with these days.

D&D General JMISBEST's questions. Most of them about campaign ideas that either he or A GM he knows has and wants to know what people think

I guess it would depend on what sort of society you have sorted out for your campaign world. Under the British system of nobility it all depends on what the monarch decides. The Wikipedia article should give you some ideas on how it is structured...

What is the best chain fast food restaurant?

It will always be Wimpy, a chain so beloved in the UK it has resisted being killed off. While it still sells burgers it is also the home of the pork bender.

D&D General JMISBEST's questions. Most of them about campaign ideas that either he or A GM he knows has and wants to know what people think

Ah I see those tables made it into Unearthed Arcana and they are indeed mostly official house rules. I'm sorry to hear that your friend passed away in 2001, they must have been a great friend indeed.

D&D General JMISBEST's questions. Most of them about campaign ideas that either he or A GM he knows has and wants to know what people think

Sounds like an interesting rules addendum, do you have the magazine title or failing that the author and article title?

D&D 5E (2024) I'm a longtime player and there really is only one thing that will stop me from switching to 5.X

I did pretty much the same thing as you with the hole punch and 1p coins but I wanted something more colourful than just plain card so I used all my Magic the Gathering cards for monster tokens and they looked awesome.

TSR The Full & Glorious History of NuTSR

I've just started watching the Tabletop Taproom video where they say that the hearing was recorded but they cannot play the video , it doesn't stop them from discussing the transcript .

    LARP In the UK

I learned from my SO that the Labyrinth LARP operating out of Chislehurst caves could still be running games.

Unique British aspects of D&D in the UK?

From a personal perspective I'd heard of D&D but it was the documentary series South of Watford hosted by Ben Elton that really opened my eyes and thanks to the magic of YouTube you can experience what it was like to play D&D in the 80s.

Unique British aspects of D&D in the UK?

Griffin park used to be home to a very popular soccer team in West London known for having a pub at each corner. There have been reports of people claiming to see the griffin flying, usually when it's a slow news day and the people might have had more than a few pints of ESB :-)

(+)Do Any TTRPGs Do Dueling Really Well?

Perhaps Honor + Intrigue would do what you want? I did encounter a game that simulated fencing duels reasonably well but I can't remember the title or publisher, the only thing I can recall about it is the word Deadelus.

D&D General Beadle & Grimm's Matthew Lillard Launches D&D-themed Bourbon

What about a funky bottle of mezcal with a worm dyed purple at the bottom?

    Cocktails

I should add that Navy strength gin was only provided to the officers as the lowly sailors were provided rum :-)
