    D&D 5E (2014) Least Favorite WotC 5E Book?

My favorite two books I own are Volo and Tome of Foes. I love the lore, found it a blast to read, especially the demon and gith bits. The worst 5e book I own, which I regret buying and would return if I could, is Monsters of the Multiverse. It utterly neutered generations of lore, and for what...

Best Forgotten Realms books (any edition)

I want to point out that Google brought me to this thread, and there are some great suggestions here. But the last post previous to mine was from 13 years ago! Opinions may have changed, new books out, DM Guild original material etc etc. I’m genuinely curious what people think.

Best Forgotten Realms books (any edition)

Look, I’m totally bringing back from the dead this ancient post, but I do believe it deserves an update. What would folks now say are the best Forgotten Realms supplements? Playing through BG3 has made me really want to delve deep into Realms lore and love.

    D&D 5E (2014) There is a wicked Artificer Class Mod for BG3!!!

I’m going to highly doubt that, but who knows. If it is cheaper to buy out a good mod than make your own, then why not? But if they plan to sell expansions or an enhanced edition, then I can see it easily being pulled down.

    D&D 5E (2014) There is a wicked Artificer Class Mod for BG3!!!

I can see this getting a takedown notice if Larien decided to officially add the class via dlc.

Grade the Pathfinder 2E Game System

I haven’t played it, but I have read through a Ton of their published material. I’m not a mechanics guy, I struggle with numbers, so I can’t speak at all to that. But I like the variety of classes, I like the lore, I liked the way the art looked and I liked reading through the feats. I’d be...

D&D General What module should I run to make new friends in a new place?

Thank you all for the recommendations, keep ‘em coming. It can be one shots, short campaigns, anything really—I’m looking to build relationships in both the short and long term.

What is the single best science fiction novel of all time?

I’ll check her out. Thanks for the rec. I like space opera as much as the next guy, I’m just tired of constantly heavy naughty word.

D&D General What module should I run to make new friends in a new place?

Soooooo got a question for you all. I’m moving to a new area of the United States where my wife has gotten her dream job. I don’t know anyone where I’m going, but I believe that DnD can bring people together. So, if you were to run a module etc to make new friends in a new place, what module...

What is the single best science fiction novel of all time?

Two things (from my perspective): 1. I’m tired of war and stories about war. I wish i was aware of more sci-fi that didn’t deal with war and mass killing as plot points. 2. This thread isn’t nearly as good as the fantasy one. Arguments about Dune just really aren’t that engaging reading for me.

What are you reading in 2023?

I picked it up at the Barnes and Noble website, where it appears to still be available for purchase. Mine does have the blue scale map in it, but I haven’t looked at it too closely so I couldn’t tell you what it is from. https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/appendix-n-peter-bebergal/1136706173

What are you reading in 2023?

Almost finished the collection Appendix N put together by Peter Berbergal. Excellent collection of stories. Some major standouts for me include Black God’s Kiss by CL Moore, Tale of Hauk by Poul Anderson, Empire of the Necromancers by Clark Ashton Smith, A Hero at the Gates by Tanith Lee (this...
