This is a lot of the reason why I personally prefer shorter campaigns. Not so much that the backers are challenging to deal with -- I've been mostly very lucky and have had positive, friendly supporters -- but because of the mental drain on managing the campaign. Running a Kickstarter project...

This has been my first time working with BackerKit and I can safely say that they've been a positive for the campaign. One downside to short campaigns: Missing out on these great collections of crowdfunding projects! My latest project is missing out on the fun! :) I am keeping a close eye on 65 Enchanted Trinkets because I think it is a perfect model for most PDF publishing in today's environment.

Actually, I think it is a cool way to introduce Magic players to the Realms. Should be fun to watch how things shake out once Magic players start seeing those classic characters, creatures, and places.

The campaign looks great! I'm personally interested in seeing how this performs for you. I suspect you will see more support/funding like this than if you were to just release the PDFs for sale.

I wasn't a fan of that sort of art 20+ years ago. I am shocked that even today we see this sort of artwork created for games. I use stock art for the majority of my personal projects and there are more times than I would like where I cannot use an illustration because of the cheesecakiness of it.

Goes back to the joke of launching an Indiegogo campaign to create the video for a Kickstarter campaign. Still, it's not my place to tell others how to run their crowdfunding campaigns or how to plan our their projects, and I wish them luck.

Collections of rules variants/extra stuff/new ideas are always welcome.

I've run a few different experiments when it comes to artwork and RPG supplements, and attractive, color artwork always makes one of my projects perform better than any B&W art. I know it's not much of a data point, but it is my experience.
