    Return of the Bard

Actually i would love to see this kind of bard! Although my dnd origins starts from 2e and haven't experianced the 1e bard, i would really prefered the kind of approach you say, than the current one. They designers said that they were experimented with two kinds of priest. Heck... why not two...

    Rule of Three: March 13

I have to admit that i loved this rule of the three. I loved it for the confirmation of the existance critical/fumble tables. I know its something small, a detail in the game, but a detail that i really carve for. Back in the 2e i used these charts creating the most colorful (and bloody moments)!

    L&L Turning & Churning

I would also loved most a broader version of "turn undead" that is tied to the portfolio of each god. For example the priest of a water god, let's say Poseidon, would be able to turn not undead but "fire" origin creatures. Of course a mechanic like that does not work very well with the mechanic...

    L&L Turning & Churning

Exactly... the cone thing bothered me too. I would prefer a burst - radius area of effect. However, the whole idea that Mearls expressed looks neat...

    Rule of Three 3/6

A general note. Am i the only one who thinks that more complexity will eventually lead to more power? What is the reason for an experianced optimizer player to make a super duper complex character if he will not be a bit more effective that the simple built one? An answer could be "the gaming...

    Psionics - core or not?

core I vote for core. I think the reason that they are so unbalanced is because the don't get attuned with the other core classes. Also, although they are #1 class that we are looking of, always was one of our favorites. They are more popular than many core classes.

What would like to see: A PC History

Nice post. Well, i have played almost as you describe (OP) and maybe sometimes a little bit more heroic *BUT* ... i would love a more gritty and a more unti-heroic leveling. However, I don't imangine my characters (as a dm) to have much different leveling than the one you describe. The problem...

Seminar Transcript - Reimagining Skills and Ability Scores

skill (less) system... It seems that they haven't decided 100% yet what the skill system will be. In today's rule of three: Dungeons & Dragons Roleplaying Game Official Home Page - Article... They want to make a skill-less system but i am not sure if it will gonna make it to the end...

Mike Mearls Answers Questions About "Dungeons and Dragons Next"

Hi, i read through these forums that 4E finds its inspiration to the "european" style of game? If understand correct, what do you mean by that? Is there a data that the europeans are focused on the tactical side of the game, while the us to the rp one? Are there any interviews or data of that...

Healing Surge and recovery after extended rest effect modification...

Thank you for the very usefull reply Obryn! If I keep the healing surges in name only? I mean to keep them only in order to be used by healers to make their healings and not to be used to heal the characters themselves. Of course the healing surge 1/day after an extended rest i intent to keep it :)

Healing Surge and recovery after extended rest effect modification...

Well, new to the 4th... still haven't played any game, but intent to dm a new campaign. Me and my gaming group really didnt like the healing surge idea (at least to that extent) and the full hp recovery after an extented rest. So, if i eliminate the full hp recovery after extended rest and...

City Survivor - And the Winner is...

I am really amazed how Sigil and Greyhawk managed to make it so far... Both products are OOP (especially Sigil). I am wondering what is the meaning of this... how waterdeep and sharn were out of competition (metropolies with almost constant support) whereas metropolies that were abandoned still...

City Survivor - And the Winner is...

Many said thousand reasons why they didn't like Lady or Planescape... the names that poster said was obviously not a criticism, not even the generaly accepted truth. It was clearly bad intent.

City Survivor - And the Winner is...

Needles to see that i have, as my gaming group, totally different opinion. Lady is a great source of mystery, fear, respect than probably any other npc/god. If you want you can read "Pages of Pain" one of the best d&d books exists... But probably and obviously you are prejudiced against Lady and...

Which Is The Stronger Character Class - Sorcerer or Wizard?

It depends... If we take one vs one after the mid lvls the wizard will be better... But if we would like to multiclass a sorceror rules!

City Survivor - Final Vote! (Read the Question before voting!!!!)

Well, as it seems Sigil had many haters, many more than Freeport... thats the reason she was always at the edge of destruction... But also had many devoted fans and as it seems many more than Greyhawk or Lankhmar. Maybe the Lady's crying for help in every part of the multiuniverse is true... but...
