OD&D which segued very quickly into 1st edition AD&D, since I didn't realize that they were different games you see... :uhoh:

You know you're playing too much when. . .

This just happened to me when I saw a new Dyson vacuum cleaner whose tag read "DC15." So I was wondering just what the Reflex save of a Dust Bunny was... :)

Cool Flash ad promoting D&D from WotC

Yeah, it was a bit cheesy, but then again, has any D&D advertising campaign *not* had a certain level of that?

DMs: How Much of Your Prep Work Never Gets Used??

On average, I'd say about 20%. I've gotten better through the years at predicting what my players intend to do, so I can focus more on creating encounters in that direction, but I try to keep a few ideas open in case they blindside me with a different choice. Usually, though, I can ad-lib...

Help! Urgent science question I need answered!

Steel is about 40.8 lbs per square foot. I wasn't sure if it is a round piece or wedge-shaped or what, so you'll have to do the math on that...

    Are you off today?

The bank that I work for is mostly closed, but as we have a nationwide project deployment this weekend, my team is in today and all weekend long... :\

    D&D Minis: What's missing most?

I want to hear your solution then. Something that doesn't involve the Internet (as a nod to your point that not everyone has online access) and makes these transactions viable for others in a timeframe that is significantly less than two weeks (and obvious sticking point), and is convenient...

    Table rules and conventions

You forgot to add the Buckeyes, the Bluejackets (especially after winning one at home last night), and perhaps the highest restaurant-to-population ratio in the entire world to the list of positives... ;)

So who all plans on playing DDO?

I voted in the maybe column - it depends on how good the game turns out to be. I loved games like Diablo 2 which started to have that online playability, but have yet to find a true MMORPG game that makes me willing to pay a monthly fee. Maybe DDO will live up to the hype?

    The Underlake Chronicles.

The night's breeze washes over me while I sleep in the nook of a birch tree, the furry warmth of Jack at my side gently breathing, deep and throaty as his legs twitch in a dream of chasing rabbits down through a hillside thicket. Or perhaps just running free and wild through a grassy meadow...

Hair spray and spandex did mix for a time...

Yes, Holy Diver and The Last in Line were very good albums, but he seemed to lose his way after that. I only have seen him once in concert at a Deep Purple/Dio/Iron Maiden show, and he did a decent job. Nothing outstanding, but he can still belt out the songs - the man still has the pipes.

Pizza. Do you call it 'pie'?

:) If I can find someplace in Indy that makes it this way, I'll buy you a piece at GenCon! It actually freezes very well, but its not the same as fresh out of the oven. And think of it this way - the first bite is of mounds of cool fresh cheese, then slowly giving way to the toppings on top...

    D&D Minis: What's missing most?

While some people may not have access to using eBay (a minor trying to purchase from a seller who requires credit cards), most of your point is that it is essentially inconvienient to use eBay, and that it's a "hassle." First, why is being patient to complete a transaction considered such a...

    D&D Minis: What's missing most?

That's not an accurate reflection. I've purchased a number of rares on eBay to complete my collection and usually end up paying between $5-$12 for them. I've also got one for $2 before. Its a question of being patient and only paying what you are truly willing to pay, but you *can* get a...

Pizza. Do you call it 'pie'?

Try it... :) There is just a thin covering of cheese on the pizza in the oven, then the toppings go on and the rest of the cheese when it comes out. YUM! And welcome to the Ohio Valley.

Pizza. Do you call it 'pie'?

Well, no... it's not that thin, but its not thick either. Imagine a medium thick crust, piled on top with literally an inch of NON-melted cheese and other toppings... mmmm! It's very Ohio Valley... hard to explain.

Pizza. Do you call it 'pie'?

Well, problem is that Sicilian pizza has a thick crust, and ours did not. It wasn't thin either, but it was not the "pan" crust that is indicative of a Sicilian pizza.
