    The PDF Review Project

Who were these people again? I wouldn't mind a list of them myself.

    The PDF Review Project

Ahah. I see that now. I was ah, just testing you. hmmm...that is strange. My only guess would that some products on rpgnow have links to rpgnet reviews? That maybe just the base connection between all the RPG (Now, Net, Host, etc) sites probably has something to do with it. Philreed -...

    The PDF Review Project

Thats pretty brutal. How do you take a free book from a couple of little girls and break a promise to them to give it a review? Damn.

    The PDF Review Project

I think its because: 1) the reviews are right there, you don't have to go to another website to read a review. Just click and read. So the ones on RPGNow are more convient. Convience = usage = effect. 2) The reviews are short! One or two paragraphs is all you need. Maybe even a handful of...

Year of The Zombie...What do people think?

I might point out that even though the stats for this book are D20 modern it would still be very useful as just a source book for zombie games in general. I plan on using this book to help me with another game of mine that has nothing to do with D20. The strength of this book isn't in its...

    Purchase DC for a Nuke?

Other factors need to be considered as well. Mainly, who is doing the selling? Someone who stole the nuke and wants to get rid of it before he gets caught? It would be cheaper then. Are you buying it from a rogue government (particularly in Russian territories) or warlord? That will be lots of...

Introducing fantasy RPGs to religious players

Well i am glad i am not your position, Jurgen. I admire you for giving it a try. :) You have to have the right group, too. This wouldn't work with my group, as no subject is taboo and over-sensitive people would get laughed at. I agree with the others that say to avoid religion or use it...

    That looks great, Guedo.

Albany Gameday IV-You missed it-But everyone had a ball

What if someone on the lists i sent the email out to wants to volunteer to run a game? If your email was up on the site, they could contact you direct.

Albany Gameday IV-You missed it-But everyone had a ball

Well, i sent out the word. We'll see it garners any support for ya! You should maybe put some sort of contact email address or something on the Gameday homepage, for anyone who might want to sign up. The only link on it right now is to Zombie Planet and their event calendar is out of date. :)

How Horrible do you like your Horror? How Crazy your Cthulhu?

I fall along the lines of your Hellboy category with the occasional dip into the UA area, and a rare trip to COC every once in a long while. Like Joshua said, if you constantly play the COC style, i think it dilutes the experience.

Albany Gameday IV-You missed it-But everyone had a ball

I have enough lead time that i might be able to make it this time. I'll post the gameday (and link) on my CNYGamers mailing list and on the Storytellers Guild (oswego area) list to see if a i can scare up some action for you. Will you have time slots (those claimed and those open) up on the...

Year of The Zombie...What do people think?

I think you'd have to be very touchy about the subject to take offense at what little was written about rape, sex, or sex-for-trade in the book. It was handled logical and not in any kind of detail. The few times its mentioned, is in passing.

Year of The Zombie...What do people think?

It does add some rules, like the Feral Child class (damn dirty little brats!!) and a couple advanced/pretisge classes. It has zombie templates and insanity rules. It also has a massive list of stat blocks for different military types, cops, raiders, etc. Extensive. It has some stats for RPO's...

    Any good Scifi+cyberpunk rpgs?

Other than some racial mods being changed, mine wasn't different at all! I once toyed with the idea of running a rifts-like game with shadowrun. But it would have required work i didn't feel like doing. Plus i didn't want palladium commandos to bust in and kill me! :D

Burning Wheel - Does it appeal to D&D fans?

Well, to follow up on that. I was interested in it simply because i was looking for something different than D&D. Theme-wise it seems just more of the same (elves, dragons, blah blah), so thats why i haven't bought any of the books. That theme does seem entwined in the rules to some extent. .I...

    Any good Scifi+cyberpunk rpgs?

Heh, i did that to shadowrun as well. The shift from fantasy and magic to mutations/altered humans and psionics is very subtle, but can make all the difference.

Year of The Zombie...What do people think?

Well, i just finished reading it. Though i didn't thoroughly imprint the rules part into my brain (i tend to gloss over rules until i really need them). I like it a lot. Style of writing is nice and clean. I thought that the "After the Risen" conclusions were logical. Being a fan of zombie...

Tell me about Underground (Mayfair Games circa '93)

It uses the Blood of heroes/Old DC Heroes/MEGS system. A nice, tight, fast gaming system.
