I am a fan of historical role-playing games, but there is not a lot of good content from a Jewish point of view. So I have started a group for sharing and collaborating on Jewish oriented content in RPGs, both D&D and other systems. I am interesting in seeing any content anyone has featuring...
I've started a Facebook group for people to share Jewish RPG content. Come to The Jewish RPG Workshop if you have content to share that is based on Jewish history or folklore.
So, I've started a group for Jewish gamers and Judaic content in RPGs, if you are a Member of the Tribe, come check it, just opened tonight. If you're a goy, come by, too.
The Jewish RPG Workshop
I don't see how that would make sense, because Binders dominate and coerce their vestiges to gain power, and they frequently switch vestiges. A warlock makes a deal with single Patron who gives him access to magical shortcuts for its own purposes.
Tome of Magic was amazing, I for one am all for having multiple systems of supernatural power beyond just spellcasters. The Binder and True Namer were amazing. I see no reason not to directly update them to newer systems.
Real world dogs do not have the back muscles to be good mounts, gnomes would need to breed them specifically for the right musculature to work as riding dogs. No reason it could not be done. Zebras make poor mounts, too, because they have weak backs. All it takes is time and patience to breed an...
I have heard good things about Testament, I want to get my hands on a copy one of these days. I have the Pendragon supplement "Knights Adventurous", which has a chapter on the Jewish religion but no actual crunch for Jewish characters. "Charnel Houses of Europe: The Shoah" is a sourcebook for...
There is nowhere near enough content in RPGs for Jews, despite our outsized presence in other media. Jews were mentioned in several of the HR books, but there was not one single Jewish oriented character class. The Crusades took place in our Holy Land, but the guidebook just treats us as...
Ever since the 2E AD&D Historical Reference Guides came out I have wanted to play a campaign set during the Jewish Wars, fighting against the Roman Empire. I snatched those books up as soon as they came out, still have my set. Even playing later editions they are an invaluable resource.
I miss 3.5, it had just the right amount of crunch and granularity for me. The advantage/disadvantage rule in 5E feels wishy-washy. If D&D had just stopped at either 3.0 or 3.5, I would have been a happy camper. Feat chains were great for customizing a character, they just gave you so many...
Any ideas for classes? I think a mameluke class would be appropriate. Also, check out the Shroud variant Rogue from the book Unorthodox Rogues, it is a professional grave-robber who talks to the dead to learn secrets that can be used to find treasures or blackmail people.
A cursed set of dentures that prevents you from telling the truth.
Vampiric dentures that let you use your bite to drain energy. Whatever damage you cause is added to your own hit points. You can go up to double your normal total, but the extra points go away after 24 hours.
Dentures that can...
I have yet to see a good argument against having a skill and feat based psionics system instead of a spell-based system. The proficiency system has been improved in 5E over 2E, systems like the Star Wars Force rules were balanced and easily expandable. A system like this would be integrated into...
Exceptions determine the outer parameters of a rule. A rule with no exceptions is broken.
As for psionics, take a look at the d20 Star Wars RPG rules for the Force, they are based on feats and skills, they could easily be expanded to include more powers and have a telepathic combat system added...
