Flesh golem almost looks borg-ish. Iron golem reminds me of a Vorlon encounter suit. Just give them an intelligence and you're good to go. Can always crack into the Star Wars d20 :)

Ok, spell list reduction is easy... since they already get an Eschew Materials ability, they only gain spells from the wizard lists that have a component that can be eschewed - so nothing with an arcane focus, nothing with an expensive component (like identify). Cuts the list in half.

No mention of blowgun yet... sure, does bad damage, and low rate of fire, but can have some intersting fringe benefits. Also no mention of going into straight magic... dunno the cost effectiveness of using a multi-missile magic missile wand or a wand of lightning bolts.

Why? We don't have spellcater versions of duelist, or melee versions of loremaster...

Why wouldn't it be allowed? Just apply the templates differently. Original form is humanoid (dwarf), apply the vampire template [Undead (dwarf)], and then half-fiend it [Outsider Undead (dwarf)]
