voted for the underdog even though I'm not a big gnome fan. it's not a very interesting match anyway. human could beat any race at this stage. I would have liked to see gnome against another short race (halfling, dwarf, kobold...) or one of the new PHB races (Tiefling, DB)

those stats would definitely better match their fluff. I suppose devils are used to hellish conditions and I don't find tieflings particularly charismatic. I think one of the designers said eladrin had a sucky stat combo precisely because they had feystep.

same here, except for 4e. "officialness" does matter to me. It generally means better art, editing and playtesting and makes it easier to find players. but it's not enough to make me want to play, much less buy, a version that isn't an improvement to me.
