    WotBS Errata for WotBS #1

Oh yeah, the wisp solon is a new monster. The solons will pop in and out of the saga over time. At their next appearance, a more complete monster write-up will be made.

    WotBS Errata for WotBS #1

Good question! The sidebar on solons doesn't specify a shape. I personally prefer it to be a more humanoid in appearance with eyes that have no pupil or iris (normally solid white) but ripple and flicker with elemental fires behind. Its Lustrous Gaze displays two beams of red/yellow light that...

Has anyone else started playing 'Scouring' yet? (Possible Spoilers)

As always... Players are smarter than the rules!!! A writer just can't win!! In all seriousness. If they enjoyed the routs, then they got their reward. It will be interesting to see how they fare on skill challenges. If they beat up on Shealis instead of work with her, just remember that she is...

WotBS curiosity about errata/balance issues in 3e/4e WotBS

The 4e version has gone through a different editing process than the original saga and we are shaking out the procedures. 4e is much more precise in terms of language use and terms, so a few steps in the editing process were missed. They have since been corrected and we have refined them for...

    ETA on PDF Eratta

Our layout artist is currently dealing with a family crisis. As soon as he is back online, the update will be provided.

That's an editing oversight. He will actually show up in a later adventure module.

    WotBS Errata for WotBS #1

Wow! Thanks for the detail. It looks like my notes! You are correct that there is some duplication and addition. Now for the rest of the story... As I was putting the adventure together I came to this observation. The trouble with treasure parcels is two-fold: first, they rely upon an implicit...

    WotBS Errata for WotBS #1

Thanks! Much of the material was written within a month of the original release. Knowing what I know now... I shudder... Wait till you see adventure 2! Our new processes to keep current on notes and edits are light years ahead of what was before. OK The wisp needs a bit of a replacement...

    WotBS Errata for WotBS #1

The intention is to update the document. A revision number will probably be included (maybe on the legal text page), though I am not the layout man, so that will be up to him. If you have enabled your rpgnow account (or other vendor) to send emails when an update is posted, you will be...

Has anyone else started playing 'Scouring' yet? (Possible Spoilers)

Torrent only divides the XP award if she gets bloodied (Campaign Guide). The idea is that she can help get people out of a jam (The DM's helper), but doesn't significantly impact any one encounter. If she gets bloodied, she is clearly doing a lot and so the XP award per character suffers. In the...

    WotBS Errata for WotBS #1

Thank you so much for the proofreeading. I clearly missed my Perception DC 7 roll on these items! Rest assured, Piratecat and I will be collecting all these items and releasing them sometime soon!

    New Release: Battlemap Tiles

Thanks! I suppose you haven't heard, but I am hip deep in writing and designing battlemaps for the 4e conversion of EN Publishing's "War of the Burning Sky". Until I get a chance to breathe, the Selectascene stuff is on hold. I will certainly be revisiting it, especially after all the art I'm...

Has anyone else started playing 'Scouring' yet? (Possible Spoilers)

I must say you are correct. And in response to a previous post, an all-arcane group is going to be challenging! I think the DM will have a tough time keeping them alive...

    WotBS Scaling WotBS #1

Wow! 7! OK, really off the cuff first crack for the first couple of encounters. With 7 players, the XP count needs to increase by 2,000 for the 2nd level. Then up another 2500 to get to third level. Encounter 1 Make 1/2 the minions at the poison apple into 1st level thugs. That will beef up the...

    Scouring Treasure Parcel Question

We may have missed the connection between the table and the text. I'll do some checking. For now, what you said seems about right. I used the parcels in the DMG to set up the gimmees in a few places. You are not required to follow any of those rules though... I know of one party who skipped an...

War of the Burning Sky 4E?

Yes!, the maps are a bit constricting, so the newer ones have a bit more room where it makes sense or nasty side effects otherwise. That's not a hard and fast rule for the first adventure, but module 2 is much more expansive. You can see all the maps through links from the main WotBS web page.
