Dragons in the Dungeons of D&D

Don't know if it fits, but in 2nd Ed, there's also Dragon Mountain.

    A bit of (undead) help...

To follow on what Loonook was saying, you might also take a look at Ultimate Magic and review the Dirge Bard. It may not be the exact fit you're seeking, but it might help.

PAX East: DM D&D for WotC, get a free badge and/or hotel room!

I would love to run a game or two, but I haven't played any 4e since a couple Boston Game Days ago let alone run a session. Looks like it's to the back of the line for me.

"Order of the Stick" Kickstarter shatters records, about to top $500K

Thanks for pointing this out. I hadn't heard of it. There was only one book I was missing so I'm going for that level. I was really amazed by how many of the individual pledge selections were already sold out including all of the top-tier pledge selections.

    Recommend good PS3 RPG games?

A bit of a res for this post but I've been out of town for various reasons the past few weeks and am catching up on things. We finished Hunted and really enjoyed that one. My fiancee even commented that she enjoyed the storyline from that one and was hoping to try other things with the game to...

    Recommend good PS3 RPG games?

I'll have to let you know after we pick it up. It'll likely be the one we go for after we finish up Hunted now that we're into the final chapter. Road-trip holidays are going to slow down progress in that game, though. Dungeon Siege III is not a turn-based game. It's definitely real-time...

    Recommend good PS3 RPG games?

My fiancee and I played through this one and had a good time with it. For us, it was a good story told along with a fun co-op experience, which is our key deciding factor most often. We're currently playing Hunted together and it's definitely not an RPG but is effectively a shooter with an...

    Hero lab vs. PC Gen

I don't know about the OP, but the other piece that always made much more of a difference when I was using a computer tool like this is that I don't use Windows. HeroLab is a Windows only product and that is a deal-breaker for me.

    Snowwhite and the huntsman

Interesting. I'd heard this movie was being made, but I hadn't kept tabs on it. Looks like the hunter is played by the one who portrayed Thor most recently. Still need to see that one, but he seemed suitably gruff in the trailer here. Rest of the trailer looked decent as well, though I would...

    Character sheets

I'm getting ready to make a new Summoner character. I saw a selection available that I hadn't seen previously when selecting the character class. The option was to choose a lighter grey setting. When I printed using that choice, the grey is almost too light on my printer. You might give that...

Boston gameday on Oct 22nd! (Sign-up here at 7pm Mon Oct 10th)

Both Dantilla and I had a great time there. Neither one of us is missing a sock or pedometer, though. And as someone else mentioned above, thanks for the meatsack. Looking forward to the next one.

Who played or ran Night Below?

I remember playing in the first part of the campaign. Unfortunately, the DM for that particular group fell out of sorts so we never had a chance to resume it. I own the box and have wanted to update it for different editions or even run it in AD&D2e, but never really have come up with the time...

Boston gameday on Oct 22nd! (Sign-up here at 7pm Mon Oct 10th)

Thanks Zephrin. I'll take a human fighter defender. If others have already spoken up for that role, switch it to a leader.

Barnes & Noble Acquires *Some* Borders Assets?

I got that email as well. Since I've moved east, I've been going to B&N more often and had largely switch before the move due to a couple bad experiences with Borders employees anyway. Most of the information they would acquire about me they would already have or would be out of date. Goody...

    Favorite vs. Best Adventure Modules

I've seen a couple of my favorites mentioned in the list already (Night Below among them), but I think my favorite one to read through has been Slayers of Lankhmar by Slade Hensen. It had the feel of a sandbox adventure before I knew what sandbox adventures were and dealt with a wrongly-accused...

Game Prep on a Pizza Box!

If you mean the place over in Allston, yeah, that's still there. My gf and I were just there last month.

Boston gameday on Oct 22nd! (Sign-up here at 7pm Mon Oct 10th)

Funny you should mention this. I don't really play much D&D4e these days and was going to ask you the same thing. In particular, a pre-gen or assistance creating a character would be appreciated.

Piratecat If there's still room, I'll mark my backup as PKB's Dragon Age game.

Boston gameday on Oct 22nd! (Sign-up here at 7pm Mon Oct 10th)

Dantilla would like to sign up for the afternoon session of Dragon Age. She's busy in the AM and will join us during lunch or just before the start of the afternoon session. I'm interested in the morning session of D&D4e and the afternoon session of Eclipse Phase, please. Also, didn't there...

    Acererak and Orcus

Going back to the Return to the Tomb of Horrors, The main section I saw mention of Orcus was the opening section of "The City That Waits" on page 56 when describing that location's background. There were a couple of other pieces that mentioned Orcus, but didn't seem to delve into the connection...
