By my reading of the rules, yes. It's a little odd, since it's remarkably unspecific about what you can add. For example: Warshaper HYDRA OF DOOM: 10 heads (improved bite), four claws, a tail, horns (on each head??)... The madness just goes on and on.

I've decided to houserule the chaotic evil/good monsters to have DR/lawful as well as DR/(good/evil). I don't see why a chaotic evil demon can be affected by a good weapon, but not a lawful one. YMMV, etc. etc. etc. D&D is about good vs. evil, so I consider this an oversight.
