As for what inspires my "Psion," it's more mysticism then anything. Bene Gesserit to me are the default Psions. I throw some other archetypes in there, like Wild Talent, Mesmer (illusionist/trickster, think Guild Wars 2), Psychic (Prof X style), and Oracle. Sometimes I even throw Witch in there...

It's the same game and the differences are so slight so as to make almost no matter for most interactions.

I think Houses are too easy, I'd like a mixture of factions and a big dose of Wild Talents to keep things chaotic. But your idea is fun!

Ghosts of Saltmarsh remains the best set of adventures/campaign as written in 5E IMO.

This is my experience and it makes me question why so many people want to call this a completely new edition so badly. It really is just an updated/revised version of 5E. It still feels like 5E, just IMO better designed in some areas. If you liked 5E, I don't know why you wouldn't like 5R. And...

IMO traps are made to be avoided. A trap going off and having to be dealt with every now and again is cool, but most traps are there to be dodged and potentially repurposed.

I feel like the same itch could be scrapped with a Background + Origin Feat that gives a version of that class feature and some profs.

5E multiclassing legit damages the game more then it helps.

And??? People make new ideas and add them to the IP. We can justify them in a thousand ways. It doesn't matter if they were always there, and settings should be allowed to change and add cool new ideas. If the only problem with these badass Auroral Ice Drow is that they weren't thought up 50...

Another reason why I want an official Psion is I just want to see WotC's take on it. They usually have a bit of a novel take on these ideas, and I like seeing their execution. Logically, they should release the Psion alongside more Psionic subclasses for other classes in addition to the 5 we...

I think the Auroral Ice Drow and Jungle Shade Drow are both sick and aesthetic as hell. I don't know why so many people hate on them. New ideas are cool, new aesthetics are cool, I'm all for adding to the Realms. Underdark Drow aren't going anywhere, stop pearl clutching at new things.

This is a good point, it is difficult. IMO I find virtually every publisher of high tier adventures really underestimates how much it takes to drop a party in Tier 3 and 4.

The adventure was written for 2014 characters. The encounter guidelines in the new DMG are different, and we don't know if MCDM knows how to balance a high level adventure or not.
