    Which Middle Earth RPG?

I disagree. I regard TOR 2e as superior to the previous incarnations in every aspect. For me they cleaned up the game. They made it better.

    Which Middle Earth RPG?

Oh yea, the hope and song stuff is altered, but I would disagree that it is a downgrade. You dont' use hope as a resources near as often, but it still remains a vital part of the game. Songs, we didn't do much, but there are MORE ways to use it in 1e, and I believe the rules are backwards...

    Which Middle Earth RPG?

My Vote is 2nd Edition TOR I have played 1st edition TOR (5-6 months), Revised TOR 9 (2 years), and 2nd Edition TOR (1.5 years). I've also played the Cubicle 7 5e version (1.5+ years). Hands down if you want a Middle Earth experience: TOR 2. Any of the TORs really. With almost no work I get a...

Official Adventure Time RPG Uses New 'Yes And' System

Oh, sorry if I didn't make it clear. I 've only every played the We'll See system. And well. There isn't much more to it than @Snarf Zagyg example. Though weirdly the rulebook is 1000 pages, and the players guide is 2000 pages. Most of that is just optional rules that don't really effect how you...

The Orville vs ST: Brave New Worlds (Poll)

I like Orville better than I ever liked The Next Generation (which is clearly the Star Trek it is trying to emulate) So for me the best Trek of the two is SNW, because it is "classic" trek.

[Online][BRP][GMT-6] Star Wars: Shards of the Empire

The Imperial Remnant is threatening/occupying worlds and the New Republic is covertly hiring Privateers to get them goods. Players will create characters who want to run goods to planets threatened by the Imperial Remnant. Here is what I’m looking for in a player: Focus on the game at game...

D&D General FKR: How Fewer Rules Can Make D&D Better

But here's the thing. I am interested in the GM basically deciding success in this specific model. I want tools that allow me to say "No, there is a complication here" that do not rely on dice mechanics. Sometimes I don't want to be a slave to dice. So I either create a system that makes them...

D&D General FKR: How Fewer Rules Can Make D&D Better

I hope this isn't completely off topic because I dont really know much about FKR. But I have been interested more and more as I age, in less and less rules. I find myself interested in ways to structure play without them, and I find the concept of FKR interesting. On that note, a couple of years...

D&D General How much control do DMs need?

I think the job of a GM can range from God to Group Facilitator. But my skills where honed on the forge of a demigod. I learned to run and play games when the idea of shared responsibilities in an rpg was limited to karma or hero points. And I am not interested in anything but slight...

Who Actually Has Time for Bloated Adventures?

Rumor or not, that is the problem I have with the way adventures are presented. In Impro by Keith Johnstone he says we "shouldn't really think of making up stories, but of interrupting routines." As a GM for a long time I thought "I have to write stories." Then I read this, and I saw a clip...
