    Deathjump Spiders - Too Tough?

Absolutely their damage should be changed from 2d6+3 to 1d6+3. Look at the other level 4 skirmishers and there is a big difference. Especially look at the Fey Panther which gets a similar +1d6 and prone effect ability. Add to that they both have extra abilities to move about the battlefield...

    Swordmage Implement with Wizard powers?

Still a bummer for a swordmage who can't put anything in his offhand, unless he wants to loose +2 to AC. Tellerve

    Swordmage Implement with Wizard powers?

I concede, I'm wrong :) It is interesting to note that if you are a warlock/wizard or wizard/warlock it behooves you to be a wand version of your class as you'll only need to get that one implement to play double duty. I'm not a huge fan of that, but whatever, RAW. Tellerve

    Swordmage Implement with Wizard powers?

Not only that, but if they were to pull out a wand, orb, or rod out to use as an implement with their arcane powers besides the sword they would loose +2 to ac for having something in their other hand. Assming they weren't already going the two-handed weapon route. Tellerve

    Swordmage Implement with Wizard powers?

EDIT: nevermind :) I still am a bit squeemish at the thought of allowing the warlock/wizard and paladin/cleric to get use out of one implement. I feel it should be based off of Arcane and Divine. Is it an arcane implement, are you casting an arcane power, and you know how to use the...

    Swordmage Implement with Wizard powers?

Then it would seem a swordmage using a wizard power with implement keyword could use his sword, since they are both arcane powers. A wizard would use a wand/orb/staff, a swordmage uses his sword. Tellerve

    Swordmage Implement with Wizard powers?

Hmm,yeah knew about the Wizard of the Spiral Tower, just figured maybe there was a workaround since the Swordmage came out after Wizard of the Spiral Tower. On a similar note, would the Paladin's holy symbol work for clerical powers? I could see the argument for both. D

    Swordmage Implement with Wizard powers?

I have a swordmage that is multi-classed into wizard. I'm wondering since my powers are Arcane like the Wizards if I can use my sword for the implement instead of a wand/orb/staff. Thanks, Tellerve

WotC CS answers some Stealth and Shadow Walk questions

When I keep reading about whether or not a Warlock can use stealth during his move but after his 3 squares of movement I keep being reminded of Athletics skill and say a long jump. That's a skill that you use mid-move, much as it would appear you could do with this stealth check. Tellerve

    Swordmage Aegis of Assault ?

Going to be playing a Swordmage in a campaign coming up and I have a question about the Aegis of Assault and how it exactly operates. When you teleport next to the target of the mark to do the attack I'm assuming you can pick any square adjacent to the target correct? Also, since it doesn't...

    How I've been running Stealth

If you're carrying or become or already are a light source you can't stealth. NMcCoy- If a rogue used stealth and melee attacked a creature on a dark night and the creature didn't have darkvision or low-light you'd allow that rogue to re-stealth right in front of the creature correct? I would...

    Spears not having a range?

Yeah, pretty bad joke. So, yeah, you can throw the spear as an improvised weapon, but then that isn't so great either. I guess I could use a javelin and then throw it if I wanted. Just thinking about 300 a bit here. Those were the good ol' spears of old, good at melee stabbin' but you could...

    Spears not having a range?

Yeah, see your point. Just hoping I guess :) I'm going to be playing a character who uses a spear, for thematic and role-playing purposes and trying to fight the urge to have to use a longsword or spend the feat for bastard sword. Tellerve EDIT: wow, I got the brittany boy/girl child for my...

    Spears not having a range?

Anyone else think spears should have maybe dagger range? Or would that be considered just too good? I mean, in previous editions we had both javelins and spears being able to be thrown. Spears not as far of course, but they could be, now? Nada. I find that somewhat odd. Tellerve

OAs, Combat Superiority, ending Movement and finishing square

I see it differently, as the creature needed to have left that initial square thus provoking the AoO. At which point if you hit him he stops dead in his tracks one square away. Hmmm, although then if he backed out away from you he'd end up out of your adjacent areas and if he had a move action...

Dual nature of all classes - except Ranger and Rogue.

Eh?? So, since you don't say how you get +10, I'm going to assume, +4 dex, +3 dagger, +1 theif dagger ability, and +2 for combat advantage. You then quote a fighter's stats that are Maximized and don't give him the same advantages. +4 for str, +3 for bastard sword/longsword, +1 for fighter...

Irongorn, the Heavy Ranger (ranger/pit fighter)

It would appear to me you aren't starting with a typical 22 point buy character. Which is cool, if your DM allows, but maybe not for what you can achieve when that isn't the standard buildout of points. Also you say you choose scale mail because of the lack of skill check AND movement...
