Do these feats accurately cover sex in D&D?

Ugh, this thread started out as false advertising and turned into "Ways to use Innuendo Around Eric's Grandma". Heh.

    Sorcerers and Epic Levels

Sadly I made a feat by the same name (Spell Knowledge) that did almost the exact same thing (restriction of both spells can't be of the highest level). Sorcerers can take Spell Knowledge (in the ELH) to learn spells. The Spellcraft DCs can be obtained by making an item that grants a bonus to...

    Proposed Solutions to "problem" Spells

Updated version is now posted. Added comments on Creeping Doom, Knock, and Telekinesis. Also, you can now view the document in HTML. Any feedback would be great. I'm trying to keep the house rule suggestions pretty flexible and general to let DMs decide for themselves. My comments on...

    Proposed Solutions to "problem" Spells

Thanks for the praise! Not sure I deserve all of it, in my introduction I state I gathered my info from many sources (including the fine folks right here). For now I'll bump it myself. There are still at least a few spells to add, so I'll keep it as updated as I can over the next few days. Later!

D&D 3.x What are the "problem" spells in 3E?

    Proposed Solutions to "problem" Spells

Thanks for the reply. I had not gotten around to knock or creeping doom, but those have been mentioned before. I think it's the first time I've seen animate object mentioned, so I'll give that a look as well. Anyone else care to comment?

Do ranged touch attacks (rays, etc.) provoke AoO's?

I agree with the ruling of getting the ranged touch attack for "free" (no AoO). Same logic as delivering a regular touch attack as part of the spell.

    Proposed Solutions to "problem" Spells

In the thread What are the "problem" spells in 3E?, we compiled a listing of spells, their problems, and some solutions. While there is a word document available for everyone to download and view, I thought I would put the contents in a new thread to get some feedback. Like the previous...

    Somatic components and shields/bucklers

Couldn't one just move the weapon to the buckler hand, therefore freeing up a hand to cast?

    Mass True Strike

I have a hard time understanding a Mass True Strike. Mass Haste, Mass Heal, and similar spells I can understand, since those can be cast on anyone. However, True Strike is a "personal" spell, meaning on cannot give it to others.... Could be very abusive in a party of fighter types...

D&D 3.x What are the "problem" spells in 3E?

Re: Attempt at making summoning better... I'm not trying to fix everything. I have several suggestions for many spells. DMs can use some, all, or none of them, but the info is there to make a decision.

[MoF] Favor of Ilmater + Monstrous Regeneration

It's debatable either way. Hence why I don't think I'd allow the spells anyhow....

    Epic Rogues

As someone who is working on joining an epic game, and who has played a one-shot, I can say that lots of the epic monsters have *several* defenses each. Trust me, they need it.... I created a Ftr6/Rog31 for an Epic level game in the "In Character" forum (creamsteak's "Constructing the epic...

[MoF] Favor of Ilmater + Monstrous Regeneration

Certainly looks that way, eh? This has been mentioned before, it effectlively makes one immune to damage for a fair amount of time. *Particularly* abusive at higher levels. Like some of the other spells in Magic of Faerun (ball lightning, firebrand), you need to be careful with what spells...

D&D 3.x What are the "problem" spells in 3E?

Thanks for the compliment! You are correct, I should address that problem with simulacrum. We see a lot of questions about how to adjucate simulacrum, so I addressed those. Maybe I should start up a thread called "Possible Solutions to 'Problem' Spells". What do you think?

You know what? I think I'm done with XP

I like leveling a bit quicker than 13 encounters. That's a lot of encounters, especially considering my group typically can only handle roughly 2 a gaming session (sometimes only 1). I'm currently playing in a game that rewards 100 XP per CR of the creature defeated. We also get XP rewards...

D&D 3.x What are the "problem" spells in 3E?

Moved the document here. I was going to put it in the first post, but it seems I can't "edit add" an attachment. Oh well. Enjoy! Feedback is wanted!

    Meteor swarm

I'm fairly certain on my interpretation. Granted, there is some confusion regarding the spell, usually in regards to if the meteors "travel through" an enemy and deal 24d6 no save damage to all in a line (which it doesn't). I've been compiling spells that suffer from such problems. I'll also...

    What is the equation?

    I said general didn't I? :p

    What is the equation?

I'm pretty sure it is 500 XP * level. Of course, why protection from arrows is 1500 XP and not 1000 XP doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, but that seems to be the general formula. http://www.opengamingfoundation.org/srd/srdspellsp.html
