IMHO definately not worth a preciouse Feat. W/ 3.5 facing either get the same reach as your mount (use a small lance if you have to) or see if you can get your DM to allow the attack by your mount at the same time. If not I wouldn't waste a feet on it.

I'm not familiar with the maximizing damage power, but wouldn't that just effect the base weapon, not the acid on it?

Before 3.5 they said "no" for healing spells because it was too powerful. Don't think it was ever made official but most GMs I know already disallowed it.

The Ratling Mauler from OA is Large Monstrous Humanoid w/ 15' natural reach. Wonderful for combat and "long" range healing touches.

Displacement don't interact with Mirror Image at all, Blur will give the miss chance to the images as well. If an Image gets hit it goes away. Making the image blurry messes up your ability to hit it. Moving the image to the side (Displacement) just moves the image and doesn't impart a miss...

You answered your own question. If you're deaf/silenced the miss chance is because you can't hear yourself at all and it won't sound the same. Not because you can't hear yourself well, you can't hear at all. Have to get the Metamagic Feat to allow silent casting.
