How does one address a baron?

It really depends on the character. Obviously a knight with the appropriate skill ransk would address him differentlt then a standard barbarian, or a "regular" fighter, or a bard, or a mighty wizard.

What's the big stink about Rappan Athuk Reloaded?

Alright.. First of, and an important first of at that, note that it very well may be the best dungeon crawl module (if the term even applies to a box set of that magnitude) ever. Haven't read/played it, can't comment on that. But I'd give 4-1 odds that a properly conducted poll of the average...

    Non-Core Class Survivor: Round 16

I don't really get the "step-stab" criticism given to the scout. By that token, the barbarian is a "rowr-charge-hack-hack-hack" class, then? So.. They've found a way to make a class that works better by moving on the battlefield, foregoing extra attacks for one possibly big payoff. Why...

    Make your own half-fiends!

I made my own half-fiends last night with your mom!

How close is your gaming group to "Team America"?

My group actually killed two PCs becaused they were charmed. They knew the PCs were charmed, the charmed PCs didn't do anything more than try to grapple the others, and the "charming" demon had long teleported. I've been fielding phone calls for two days now, and we'll have to have a "talk"...

    The Tenets of GM Mastery

The Toon version of D&D (forgot the name) would easily work as a continuing campaign. Not that I'd want to run it for much longer than the Call of Chtulu campaign I mention earlier. :)

    The Dungeon That Always Was...

That is pretty much the WLD. Sure, technically the PCs are meant to come from the outside, but that's easily changed, and everything else works like you said ( "man"-made complex, worked stone, questions as to who built it and why, and how whatever inhabits it got there).

    The Tenets of GM Mastery

Well yeah. By "game" I meant more the equivalent of modules, not necessarly sessions. That could go over a long time. Say the equivalent of bringing PCs to 9th-10th level.

Non-Core Class Survivor: Round 15 (The Final 5)

That'd be like saying that the pro-psionic classes voted off all non-psionic classes off just to protect the psion and psionic warrior.

    The Tenets of GM Mastery

Toon could be done, if all your players are on the same mindset. How many episodes of RoadRunner is there? And Toon games can be more varied than Roadrunner... Call of Chtulu, however, becomes D&D with somewhat underpowered characters, if it runs longer than 2-3 games.. Which, to my mind, is...

Non-Core Class Survivor: Round 15 (The Final 5)

But the suggestion was more in jest, as is expressed by the fact that the "anti-clan" hasn't kicked a class out yet, before this round. I, for one, took it that way and continued to vote psychic warrior until this round, because it had become obvious that the silly psionic lovers were working...

    Non-Core Class Survivor Spin-off: Pro-psionics or anti-psionics

Agreed.. But in that case, don't tell me I "gotta love em!" Yeah.. I know, it's a figure of speech. :)

    Non-Core Class Survivor Spin-off: Pro-psionics or anti-psionics

I gotta love 'em only if a thin layer of lead is enough to prevent all their "abilities" from working.

    The Tenets of GM Mastery

Alright, so it's a stretch to play a devil's advocate, but some campaigns ideas are best run as one-two shot runs. Otherwise, Call of Chtuhlu wouldn't be as great as it is.

    Non-Core Class Survivor Spin-off: Pro-psionics or anti-psionics

Perhaps, or even probably. Me? Having read lots of sci-fi and fantasy fiction, I've seen a lot of psionics in the former, and virtually none in the latter. It probably helped shape the way I view it. Then again, to me, Wizards and Psions become redundant, because they should both use the...

Lamest Creature You've used to good effect in your campaign

While the do not qualify as lame, I never expected a Vrock to ruin my campaign. Turns out that a Mass Charm Person can be very, very deadly.

Non-Core Class Survivor: Round 15 (The Final 5)

Yeah... Because the pro-psionic "twits" haven't been doing it. Honestly, I've been voting for the psychic warrior for a while now, because while I dislike the psion, I dislike him more, but since they were both kept on life-support by pro-psi weirdos for so long..

    Non-Core Class Survivor Spin-off: Pro-psionics or anti-psionics

I'm fine with psionics, actually I -love- psionics!- in the right Modern/sci-fi game. To me, it's really out of place in fantasy, unless it's built-in (like Dark Sun), or really, really rare (like a monster or two in a "regular" game). Otherwise, it's just annoying.

Wing and Sword: a d20 Modern military campaign [METAGAME]

Not too hot at the moment, thankfully. I just realized today that while I had kept up with the actual game, I had stayed out of the OOC thread for a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnng time now! Sorry about that. :( BTW, I didn't post overly much about what Normand was doing post "moving the older dude"...

Wing and Sword: Life During Wartime

Well, I've played this game before for worse reasons.. Normand grins and nods his head a few times. After slinging his rifle to his back once more, he slips an hand in his pocket, and it comes out wearing his brass knuckles. After making a bit of a show of adjusting them properly on his hand...
