RPG Print News – Troll Lord Games, Goodman Games, Legendary Games and More

It's fun to see items you've backed on KS show up for retail sale before they arrive from the Kickstarter. Fateforge books are gorgeous products, but a terribly run KS for the Creatures and Encyclopedia. Looking forward to seeing them, but never again would I back their projects.

Critical Role Tal'Dorei Reborn from Critical Role Is Out!

Looking forward to this! (had completely gapped out the release date)

RPG Evolution: Looking Ahead to 2022

Almost exactly the same here. Aside from the Netherdeep book, nothing on the WotC release plans interest me. This was the same for me back in the d20 days. Third party producers are making the interesting items. I have stacks of 3rd party 5e material from Kickstarter that is way more interesting...

RPG Evolution: Looking Back on 2021's RPG Trends

I kick started a bunch of things in 2020, still waiting on half of them to be fulfilled due to delays. And buy a bunch of things I mean like 20-30 kickstarters. I don't think I'll kickstart anything else until all of those complete.

Dragonlance Dragons of Deceit: Check Out the Dragonlance Novel Cover

Agreed, the proportions seem off for the middle person.

Cypher System by Monte Cook Games: what do you think about it?

I'd like to jump in on this too! :)

Cypher System by Monte Cook Games: what do you think about it?

One could always end up in a recursion based on Lovecraft's New England. That's the only way that would happen, as HPL is fiction. Now a world eating creature could show up, that's an option. ;)

Cypher System by Monte Cook Games: what do you think about it?

This has already been done. MCG has done the Artifacts of the Ancients, Beneath the Monolith, and Where the Machines Wait. All 5e compatible.

Did you go get that 5e greyhawk rebooted book? It's pretty decent!

Review of the Dungeon Master's Screen Dungeon Kit

DriveThruRPG has a few 5E condition card packs. I picked one up It was pretty decent, four copies of each condition. I'm such a sucker for GM screens it's not even funny, I'll probably get this set.

RPG Print News – Cubicle 7, Troll Lord, Gaming Paper, and More

That C&C Keeper's Guide alternate cover is fantastic! I love the homage to the 1st ed AD&D book. The Player's book and new printing for Monsters & Treasure is following along the same theme. Nice to see them changing out their cover art, logo, page design, etc. It's very long overdue. The GM...

D&D 5E (2014) Why not Alternity? (Or, will or how might WotC do SF?)

Regarding a 5e sci-fi games look into: Esper Genesis - great production values Carbon 2185 - more cyberpunk, but still capable of doing some Expanse-type rpg Dark Matter - by Mage Hand Press - very much a science fantasy - D&D in space game. Arcana of the Ancients - adding sci-fi elements to...

D&D 5E (2014) Why not Alternity? (Or, will or how might WotC do SF?)

Look into FrontierSpace for a decent homage, and very affordable.

Agreed on that. The new sets are much easier to read.

RPG Print News – Cubicle 7, Arc Dream Publishing, and More

Those are the ones I purchased (above). Here's the d20 from the previous release, plus you had 3 d20 per set. The Challenge dice also had a starfield. Which I can easily let go of that, as it made them harder to read.

These Star Trek Adventures d20 dice seem very dark. They don't have the brightness of the previous release.
