    D&D 3.x 3.5 flying castle.

Not home but IRC Champions of Mystara presented rules for constructing flying ships/castles/etc which should translate well. Rather than a single wizard attempting to enchant the entire object at once, they were collective endeavors akin to modern construction projects with one high level wizard...

    telekinesis question

Yea, sounds right to me. You gain the ability for immediate use upon casting the spell, but need to make a Concentration check each subsequent round to continue using it. While active, you can do anything normally possible via telekinesis.

Another "how do you read this" thread

Ok, i'll conceed your pov since it seems to be the majority although it doesn't seem to be RAW's intent for such effects. Re: your example - All of them. so? IRC without digging thru the books, RAW presumes the "common man" is unleveled with those extraordinary individuals (NPC+PCs) capable...

Another "how do you read this" thread

Argument #2. Say you target 5 creatures: ABCDE. The targets could form any "shape" upto a straight line provided each PAIR of targets are within x feet of each other so as long as A is within x feet of B, which is within x feet of C, etc... E would be included even though A and E are 5x...

How would I create this item?

sounds like some kind of construct/golem which you then either mentally control or possess. neither option is RAW given their typical mental immunities however IRC there's an Awaken Construct spell (source?) which should give it the Intelligence score needed so you could then mentally...

Player owned Castle and a Simulated Montage

obviously Waterdeep provides a clue asto what todo about the tunnels ... chances are the players will (if they havent already thought of it) setup a "toll booth" around the only KNOWN entrance and change entrance/exit fees to those eager to explore the region; maps would be a lucrative...

Intelligent Item: Help with Skill checks & Blindsense?

Personally I have no qualms with either request. IMO your second courtroom example would be more akin to having someone whispering what to say via an ear-pierce/spell than "mind control".

    Wish's limitations.

Wish 1 - Immunity to mind effects. (Essentially Mind Blank, just as a permanent ability.) Would be acceptable if you can find an existing feat or item providing this within Wish's 25,000gp limit. Unfortunately the only thing a quick search uncovered was the Universal Psionic item: Third...

    D&D 3.x Planescape 3.5 help!

Basically Sigil sits at the exact middle of the multiverse with "every" doorway acting a Gate to elsewhere (& possibly elsewhen) so while it could be used as an urban setting in its own right, its perhaps better used as a transport hub.

    Ring of Fast Healing

oops. Been working off a desktop direct link and forgot this is under the Pathfinder subsection instead of the Legacy discussions and consequently withdraw the citations. Since I obviously was looking in the incorrect RAW, I take it PF handles non-damaging spells/traps inherently different...

    Ring of Fast Healing

No idea where you got THAT continuous formula. True, I technically made the ring use-activated(injured) which uses the SAME formula as continuous per RAW so the pricing remains unchanged regardless of which description you prefer. You are correct in pointing out an uncharged item is created...

    Ring of Fast Healing

Although I tossed it into the thread as another legal alternative to accomplish his desire, agree that particular item would be broken because its providing considerably MORE usefulness than the $3k ring for a sixth of the cost! IRC we did and you essentially house-ruled objects cant be...

    Ring of Fast Healing

lol true, but presumably they be remaining far enough behind to avoid the main combat encounters until the party's eliminated those threats and numerically overwhelm minor random encounters.

    Ring of Fast Healing

Course if the ring's too expensive, hire a cleric with Craft Wondrous Item to fashion a CLW trap using the SRD's Burning Hands example since nothing in RAW says the spell involved has to be offensive. The result is an object causing the first undead to touch it each round to suffer 1d8+1 (Will...

    Ring of Fast Healing

It does if/when you realize "Constant effect" is simply an easier/shorter way of saying the effect is an instantaneous single-round standard action Use triggered by the user being injured with an automatic reset. ie each round, the ring heals 1d8+1 during the wear's standard action (provided...

    Ring of Fast Healing

lol sounds like it'd be more cost effective to hire an "army" of clerical acolytes to follow along behind the main party for the express purpose of casting CLW/etc as needed since the SRD confirms a Trained Hireling such as a cleric is roughly 3sp per day plus 10gp per CLW cast.

    Ring of Fast Healing

Mowgil - true, however Wysiwyg wasnt asking about a Ring of Regeneration. He inquired whether there is anything in RAW regarding item creation, and if so, what a ring enchanted with the 1st level Cure Light Wounds spell would cost. This is what I showed, presuming he’d want/prefer a continuous...

    D&D 3.x 3.5 Question - Single or Multiple Checks

Generally speaking Guards don't really expect to notice anything out of the ordinary during their shift, so the PC's actions would be a pass/fail roll vs DC10 unless the Guards have already been alerted by something, are in combat, or are otherwise prevented from Taking10 per RAW. "Taking 10...

    Ring of Fast Healing

I disagree with Anguish because I'm getting a far more reasonable $3,519 cost using the standard Item Creation rules. Note since RAW doesnt say the person forging the ring needs to be the same person casting the enchantment(s), you'd be far better off have a first level cleric cast the Cure...

    D&D 3.x Infinite Crafting XP? (3.5)

Hmm, since GR puts you at the minimum Xp for the level you lost, it effectively undoes any Xp changes incurred between losing the level and its restoration -- so the unfortunate 20th level fighter who dropped to 1st level and worked his way upto 11th before having GR cast would have 190,000xp...
