    Warhammer FRP

Even though these aren't aimed at me, I'll hve a go... No. Actually, the PCs have been remarkaby successful in combat. Which is kind of nice, but I'm worried they'll get a rude shock sometime soon. No, but you thow that the Fate Points allow that as a rule right? Yes there are. There's...

    Warhammer FRP

Um... maybe I'm reading it wrong, but I think that his comment cuts both ways. He's doesn't see it there, others do, but never the twain shall meet. Anyway, playing it every second Tuesday. Loving it. Got Sigmar's Heirs on Friday, and it's the best supplement so far. Spent most of the night...

    Alchohol During A D&D Game?

Not for long you wouldn't! My problem is that if I have more than 2 or 3 I lose concentration. So I stick to 2 or 3.

    Battlestar Galactica Returns! Who's excited!?

I actually think that the space fights bits are pretty much the worst part oft he show. SO I'd like to see more dogfights, but only if they're more itneresting.

Black Company or Song of Ice and Fire, what should I read next?

SoFaI. I enjoyed the BC books, bu they're so pulpy that it took some of my enjoyment away. It's a cool setting and all, but they're not that well writen. If you enjoyed the books you list as having been your recent reading, that may not bother you much. ;) SoIaF is really well writen. The...

    Wil Wheaton Drops Dungeon Column

Same here. And I liked it when he wrote about games other than D&D.

    Erik Mona Has a Blog!

It still baffles me that people think that the appropriate way to complain about politics on a well moderated baord like this is to post about politics. Anyway, thanks for the link erik. I've been reading Chris Pramas' blog a bit (it covers games, politics and punk - as a political ex-punk...

    Warhammer 40k background question

No they don't. BI have the rights, and there's certainly be no announcement about a release date for it. GR have been contracted to develop GW's IP (ie. Warhammer and WH40K). As Pramas says on his blog, that doesn't mean that GR will be doing the DC game. It also doesn't mean thata 40k game...

A Feast for Crows is done! Kind of...

I'm not sure I'm happy with this... I guess it means that there will be a book out soon, and then a second book out (hopefully by the end of the year), but that some characters (potentially including Jon Snow) won't be seen until the second book...

    Warhammer RPG, Gotta love it

I'm going to get it next week as a gift to myself. My final MA revisions from my associate supervisior arrived today, so I can't buy it until I do those. When the glue is drying on my binding, I'll buy the book and spend the weekend in bed reading it.

    Warhammer RPG, Gotta love it

Yeah, me too. I finish my MA in about a week, so I'll probably write up the first two sessions after that.

    Tired of d20 yet?

Well, a lot of the themes from WFRP featured in the game I played in back in NZ, as well as the game I ran over here. As for Ars, it'll probably never happen. Some of the people I play with here would be perfect for it, but probably not enough. And since we're all finisheing or recently...

    Tired of d20 yet?

Yeah, tired of D&D and a little tired of d20 as well. Gonna be playing some WFRP 2e for a bit, and then maybe try to get some people to play a little Ars Magica.

WFRP and the Warhammer novel line, is it really a shared setting?

Ok, I don't read the novles, and I'm not that up with the WFB setting, but what I can tell you is that the v2 RPG setting was brought in line with changes made in WFB. So yes, now it is a shared setting.

So did you actually find a place where the Wiz_O said that?

Anyone excited about A Game Of Thrones RPG?

You should give it a go, it's a fantastic book! Anyway, not too excited, probably would have been when I had just finished the books tho, and might be more excited when (if) the next book comes out.

What beasties are in WFRP Bestiary?

Snotlings and lessar goblins are different, and have been for as long as WFRP has been around. John Morrow - can't remeber those rules, but there are monster specific careers in both the core book and the bestiary. That's how you improve monsters.
