    Shield Walls and Crossbows

Two things come in my mind: - You can build a decent sniper with the crossbowman archetype in the APG. use a Double Crossbow and the Deadly stroke feat. This mean quadruple damage in a single long range shot. If you want to PEWPEWPEW arrows archcery is better, but is nice, expecially if...

Essentials has me hyped about D&D again

What do you mean here prof? Genuinely curious.

    Filling the Melee Hole

Is 3.5 material allowed? Is your PC good? In complete Divine, the spontaneous healer (IIRC the name) feat allow to good PCs spontaneously convert cure spells like clerics do, if these spells are in the spell list.

Vampire the Masquerade 20th Edition version

This is my experience too (I have to admit, surface scratching included - I played mostly other games, so..).

Rant on Errata and what Wizards need to do to move forward.

This is true. It was a free downloadable PDF. Should be pointed out that sometimes weird things happened (see the Tome of Battle errata: half of the document is actually the Complete Mage errata). Never changed, AFAIK. A very big "screw you customer".

    Pathfinder 1E Hmm Pathfinder.

True. A glaring example are Rangers and Paladins. New paladin is awesome. Barbarians are far more fun to build. Even better, with the proper class and feat tree, far more weapons and fighting styles are viable (try to snipe with a crossbow or go shield&weapon in 3.5, if you dare). Your first...

    Pathfinder 1E High-level Pathfinder?

Merrick, I played 3.5 up to level 40, and I'm currently running a custom (no Adventure Path) campaign with an high number of players (up to 12) Pathfinder only. Level 12-15. Overall, the game is an huge improvement of 3.5. classes are more interesting and versatile. the quality of the books (I...

There needs to be more dwarf monks

I prefer offensive monk, but for a defensive one, try a defensive/control monk. Buff Dex and Wis mainly, and focus on mobility and Combat Patrol. Take Weapon Finesse and Agile Maneuvers to reduce MAD. Then use Stuns, Touch of Serenity, Improved Trip.. stuff to inflict conditions.

Redundant Rogue Talents? And Major Magic.

Regarding Rogue Stealth, don't understimate the power of Fast Stealth, as well the one of talents like Ledge Walker used during stealth.

Redundant Rogue Talents? And Major Magic.

Major Magic is useful for things like Vanish. Exspecially if your gamestyle does not involve dungeon delving only.

What about taking improved unarmed strike, improved grapple, stunning fist and call it a day?

Yojimbo (alternate ranger class samurai) for Kaidan

I love the Logo, Gameprinter. Really nice. I wish to suggest you to change the nameof the Step Up rule, to avoid confusion with the feat in game (Player: "I use Step Up and then I stay right near him, ready to use Step Up" DM "uh?"). Could you Clarify the kind of bonus gained from abilities...

Pathfinder 1E Rate my Pathfinder Rakasta

Another idea to keep cat's grace is to add a bonus to CMD against specific maneuvers like the one of dwarves.

Ultimate Combat Playtest: Gunslinger, Ninja, Samurai

So a pistol bullet (d8) is more likely to bounce than a musket bullet (d12)? I'm not sure I like it.

Ultimate Combat Playtest: Gunslinger, Ninja, Samurai

You just can refluff it as a tough, weapon expert Cavalier. I find odd the cold response to the ninja in this thread. Ninja is IMHO very well made, both from a fluff and mechanic standpoint. Everything you can think of about the fictional archetype of ninja is there.

    Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Warlock

What about the capstone? Every PF class has one. Well, for clerics it depends from domains, and Barbarian has one capstone at 17 and one at 20, weaker.. but overall....
