am i wrong? did foes a, b, c, & d spend one round moving into position, then 5ft step in on their next turn? isnt that a big waste of their turns? wouldnt it be better for them to suck up one AoO (unless the psion has Combat Reflexes) and each get to make an attack? four attacks for one AoO...

*havent read the whole thread the best use of bards is small or large groups. the best 2 PC party is 2 bards. in the 6+ PC party, as others have pointed out, the group bonuses are huge.

the new guy is new to D&D? if the DM just wants to ease him into D&D, suggest shelving the current campaign, then run low level campaign until he gets the hang of the game. Then you can bring out your old characters again.

More pliable than iron/steel, but it's still hard enough for weapons. It just wears out/looses its edge faster. Tools used to be made out of copper and bronze. I've used lead sledge hammers, and they hold up for years. A silver hammer will crack ribs as good as a steel one.

why use alchemical silver? it's cheaper to make the whole item out of silver (50 silver coins = 1 lb.)
