    TSR Q&A with Gary Gygax

We have both versions, and, as alluded to, it's basically a one-shot adventure with some pre-made characters and not much attention paid to how to do anything in the game. It's less a "miniatures" game, though, which surprised me. Definitely not like Descent. I don't know if you've actually...

Did anyone receive a brain in the mail?

Didn't make sense to me either. I've never bought Magic cards... Bizarre.

Did anyone receive a brain in the mail?

Well, it wasn't so much a code as... well, I guess I won't spoil it if anyone else gets one... Let's just say that the all-controlling brain that runs Wizards R&D sent me a package. It's rather odd.

Did anyone receive a brain in the mail?

I got a squishy brain from Wizards of the Coast with a code printed on it. Anyone?

    TSR Q&A with Gary Gygax

I'm sure you're not discounting old-timers teaching gaming to the brats of the age. My four little acolytes have prosletyzed the game to varous friends. My nephews actually have converts that play at school! Back in my day, we didn't talk about D&D at school. The first rule about D&D club was...

    Campaign Wiki

I think the wiki (especially the free hosting ones) has revolutionized publishing RPG-related content. I don't think I've seen content this good in a while. The thing I like about it is that the barrier to entry is now as low as typing in a word processing program. I spent a lot of time back...

    TSR Q&A with Gary Gygax

I came out of the OD&D/AD&D set. We played 2nd, 3.0 and 3.5, but as a group, we've always ended up back at AD&D. My kids and I just started an OD&D game, and I just 'discovered' OSRIC. Any thoughts on it and C&C bringing more gamers (new and old) back into the AD&D/OD&D fold?

One-on-One adventures and/or timed encounters or adventures

We ran Gem and the Staff (old D&D module) this weekend and it was well received. Anyone done anything like that with 3.5? I was thinking it would actually be a great concept for a modern/future/spy adventure. The concept is you have one DM and one player. The character has to complete the...

HELP! Looking for a good Series of DnD modules!

There are several options, depending on what you're looking for: Continuing Story -- I know you said it didn't matter, but if you are looking for continuity without the work: - Paizo's Adventure Paths - Shackled City (hardcover), Age of Worms (completed, but you'd have to buy a bunch of...

The Things We Lost -- Update 6/13 - Eberron fiction.

Thanks man! I plan to get the story further along this weekend.

    Eyes of the Lich Queen

I'm definitely going to use it in our ongoing Eberron campaign. I have to retrofit it into the ongoing story, and the characters are close to 7th level. At this exact moment, they've just finished looting a heavily modified Whitehearth, and as they stick their heads out into the fresh air...

    Eyes of the Lich Queen

I have to echo wayne's sentiments. I got it a few days ago and am about 3/4 of the way through. This is definitely the best Eberron adventure that's been published by WotC. (Of course, everyone knows that Dungeon has had all the Eberron goodness so far -- with Logue reigning supreme, in my...

The Things We Lost -- Update 6/13 - Eberron fiction.

Kath struggled up yet another muddy embankment. Her vision swam for a moment, and she paused. The sweat soaked bandaged around her throat slipped a little, and she pushed it back into place, a circle of blood staining the cloth. Book said the wound did not fester, but she still felt it even...

The Things We Lost -- Update 6/13 - Eberron fiction.

Book folded his right arm across his chest and then extended his hand to the receding barge as it rounded a bend downriver. “What in the Pit are you doing?” Verloot complained, struggling up the soft bank. “You think those dregs are long lost sword brothers or something?” “Merely offering my...

The Things We Lost -- Update 6/13 - Eberron fiction.

Finally dug this back out and started working on it. Don't know if I still have readers out there.... :) ----------------- "How many were there, Verloot?" Kath said, still feeling light-headed. A shaky, expectant feeling gripped her, as it always did after her feral form washed itself out of...

What Game Rules should be my alternate for WotC products?

I second (third?) a few people in this thread, but here's my order: * Savage Worlds -- does any genre you want. I love their superhero game, have run Star Wars with it, and converting old/new D&D stuff is a snap. I can't tell you the relief I felt when I sat down to run my first Savaged...

Is Eberron a dead world yet?

Totally agree. The adventures have not supported the "as advertised" look and feel of the setting (high action pulp). The first three, I thought, were abyssmal, actually. Secrets and Explorers at least gives you tools to build your own on the fly. Faiths has not been useful to my game...
