I think some easy guesses are; 2 adventures (normal size or compilations) 2 settings 1 general rules supplement/monster book And then (if there is) a six book can be anything. A third setting in a year seems high to me, but who knows.

Never played it, but the premise of Dawn of Flame is a campaign set on a colony in/near a sun. Pretty cool stuff!

Also looks like Kender are coming... and Draconians too! Gully Dwarves hopefully are scrapped.

I wouldn't have bought the whole thing either; I would have waited and bought the setting book, maybe the adventure instead. But I was excited at the idea of a setting getting that much material.

Yeah, this is the real nit-picker for me. When I first say the announcement, I assumed that this was three full-sized books; a full campaign setting, a monster manual (not as big as the MM itself but still big) and a full adventure. I assumed we'd be able to buy it all at once, and then later...

Sure, but it would be strange for WotC not to announce or tease such a product now. It's not typical for them to announce a book, and then announce a book that's coming before a previously announced book. They usually announce in the same order as they intend to release. So if there is another...

I think it's safe to say this is a classic setting. There's not much room in the calendar for another book, and it'd be weird to not consider this a classic setting.

Mmm, fair. Still, I'm not sure mass combat was ever really handed to Dragonlance, so the setting is at least eating a part of Birthright's appeal.

I mean, it's a 40% price increase for less content. I get if it actually is more economical (there's a slipcase, three harcovers etc) but it's actually less content than recent setting books. I'd be ok if it was a normal book at $60. But honestly, I don't really want to support a more expensive...

I'm not loving the overall Spelljammer format/price, but I will applaud WotC for the free Monstrous Compendium. I get the idea is to give you a reason to subscribe to their platforms that I assume they'll want you to purchase stuff on... but they still didn't have to give out this PDF of new...

I also assume that due to Dragonlance taking the mantle of "mass combat" we won't see material for Birthright... maybe ever in 5E.
