I would call him some kind of loremaster. 'Wizard' in LotR implies something pretty specific, but I would say it's closest to what he's all about. Maybe some kind of non-magical sage or noble class, then into a loremaster prestige class.

Has anyone ever tried to get MechWarrior 3 running on any of these platforms? I've never had any luck getting it to run on a post-Windows 2000 computer, and it's one of my very favorite games.
