    We don't need no water.

Carpe and Ahoy are fine; what goes on in there remains in there. Anything you do, from any setting, is unique and specific to that adventure or linked adventures, in effect it is the DMs version of any campaign world they care to run. They can be played in other parts of one of the main...

    We don't need no water.

The Clearing isn't in Ford Keep...which is why disguises and such are not needed there. The Tavern with its Garden are in Ford Keep and share the same setting restrictions. Siani

    We don't need no water.

Because if one person is allowed to affect the setting in a permanent way, everyone has to be allowed to do so. Not everyone has something so harmless as a simple fire in some nameless inn; some people have wanted to pretty much raze the town, or large parts of it. As a result, I don't allow...

    We don't need no water.

You can't set fire to the Tavern or other parts of the town, at least, not in any official way. It wouldn't be acknowledged in any way since as far as the setting is concerned, it didn't happen at all. Siani

    The Sanguine Sisterhood

*pauses in her cleaning to peer at the message* "People of *Oerth*? You'd think Oerik, or the Flanaess would do for a start. " *shakes head* "As if we haven't dealt with the likes of Iuz, the Horned Society, the Scarlet Brotherhood, the Pomarj, and the Great Kingdom and its...successors...

What's the real reason we RP?

I began Roleplaying in '74 with the original D&D game, back when Elves and Dwarves were classes, not just races. It was a way to put aside a very ugly period in life during my time with the Marines, at first. I found the Red Dragon Inn on AOL at the dawning of the 90s and became a WizO early in...

    CRT & Setting Update

ROFLMAO Now there's a mental image! A pocket watch would be more in keeping with things to be honest; a wristwatch is a bit beyond what one would find, but it isn't egregious. *laughs* Dwur in robes. *laughs* Siani

    Calendar & Journal Updated (finally)

As the title says; I've finally gotten time to update the Greyhawk Calendar and the Greyhawk Journal. I make it Goodmonth 14 counting from the last time I modified the pages. If it is off please let me know and I'll adjust it. For those who find it useful, enjoy and I apologize for the long...

    CRT & Setting Update

Calendar and Journal Updated (finally) The Greyhawk Calendar and the Greyhawk Journal have been updated. I make it Goodmonth 14, counting from the last time I updated the pages. If it's off, let me know please. Sorry for the long delay, life has been very full over the past few months. Siani

    What will 4th Edition Mean..

Should be interesting to see. I have all of the FR setting material, but I haven't played in it since its 1st edition. I liked that one, it was far less developed. I suspect a lot of folk will be fascinated and thrilled, and a fair few will be annoyed to one degree or another. Any kind of...

    D&D 4.0e officiallly announced for May, 2008

Traveller rocks! Oldest SciFi game and still the best. Only game where character creation is almost more fun than playing, where you can die in generation, and where at the end of creation the skeleton for fleshing out the character is provided complete. Gotta love the survival, promotion...

    What will 4th Edition Mean..

For the Tavern it doesn't mean anything at the moment. If anything it makes the setting more stable since nothing new is added to it. Nashira, however, will have her hands full I suspect. :) Should be an interesting few months. Siani

    D&D 4.0e officiallly announced for May, 2008

According to the information I have vis a vis Greyhawk, the setting is essentially in stasis. There will be no new material for it, it will not appear in books or ezines. Living FR replaces LG in part because it will be the 4e default setting and is the most popular of the D&D settings. WotC...

    D&D 4.0e officiallly announced for May, 2008

Can't say I care much for the latest news. For myself I don't plan to delve into 4e of any sort. 3.5 works just fine and I am not interested in shelling out more for another version...when I have all of the various versions to date already. Personal thing. Some folk will be pleased by the FR...

    Just a Thought

The actual place I post them is on my own website. However, when you are in the Tavern and you have the tavern heading displayed on top with the description of the place and such, if you scroll down there's a link to it there. It is currently out of date of course, but I'll remedy that in the...

    Just a Thought

I was doing a daily update on it for the Tavern until life got...interesting. I need to figure out where in the calendar year we are vis a vis the Tavern and I'll resume posting them. Siani

    Eberron Setting?

She is not lying. Shortly we'll be accepting applications once again. The selection process isn't as easy as it might seem, and that's all I'll say about that. What the Magi who are not Setting Coordinators do is simply moderate the rooms when they are present. Apolline chose the Tavern setting...

    Setting NPCs and Characters

You can be nobles/militia from other places but you cannot be so from Greyhawk or Ford Keep and you cannot claim authority over others by virtue of your job description. No authority over others is granted to any patron, IC or otherwise. So no one can go about telling others what to do...

    Setting NPCs and Characters

As Gabriel has stated; being noble is fine as long as it is from somewhere else. Being any sort of militia is not. Not even off duty. Tried that once before and it spiralled out of control rather quickly. Not going to try that again any time soon. For the Tavern, I'm afraid the answer is 'no'...
