i took out the stuff like wall of fire and black tentacles, but since he primarily channels positive energy, i think that he still needs to be able to heal at least somewhat. and i need another idea for a holy blast essence invocation

why not make it so that, depending on their instrument of choice, you don't need somatic components for spells (if perform specialty is dance, then maybe no vocal components) you need the spellcasting, or else they're kind of underpowered in that their only class ability is usable only once per...

no, it's more like "I wish for a wish". Assuming you must meet the prerequisites for the other feat, it's exactly the same as simply bypassing the middleman (or middle-feat, if you will) and just gaining that feat.

get him to write down the exact math, and feats/skills/class features/items/the like that he used and post it. if he can't remember, tell him to figure it out again.
