NO character concept what so ever, ahhh the freedom.

Ok, fair enough. After a deep breath, let me try to be a bit more civil. I don't think either way is a problem. There are always going to be people who do structure their lives- they know what they want and they know how to go about getting it. Then they do. Then there are going to be people...

D&D 3E: the Death of Imagination?

You don't think that would be true for any rpg? I had a player like that in 2nd edition, but I was a bit stronger willed then him. ;) SD

D&D 3E: the Death of Imagination?

Re: D&D and the Death of Imagination Either you should let someone else dm or try to find a different game, but I think you will find yourself disappointed wherever you go. I have yet to find this problem. And trust me, I dislike dm'ng with a passion, but I am the one stuck doing it...

D&D 3E: the Death of Imagination?

I don't think it is a troll, but I wonder if we should start a forum for those who want to complain about 3rd edition. SD

    Star Trek: Who's hotter

I would go with her or the second Dax. I don't like plastic women- so either of the poll choices are no good. SD

    Thunderhead Games

Re: Re: Thunderhead Games I preordered that book and am looking forward to it. I was so impressed with Bluffside- it was a natural expansion to my next homebrew. Thank for the hard work. SD

Wait? It comes out with rules on summoning puppies? I am confused. :D SD

NO character concept what so ever, ahhh the freedom.

That is usually the price of people who just drift through life. If your pc wants something, then they need to go for it. Not just hope it comes about. There game may not be realistic, but there are possibly some life lessons in it. *chuckle* SD

NO character concept what so ever, ahhh the freedom.

But I don't play d&d to be the equivilant of a janitor. Oh ho ho. I was being heavily sarcastic. It is a game. It is a not a life simulator. Realism tends to be ugly, complicated, and sometimes a bit boring. Realism can bite my big toe. The odds are the PrC then (if designed well) revolves...

NO character concept what so ever, ahhh the freedom.

That is only true if you want to take the PrC at the lowest level available. You could just take it a bit later then it normally would be available. Of course, if d&d had better and a wider variety of skill-related feats (other then +2/+2 bs), then it would be possible to customize a character...

NO character concept what so ever, ahhh the freedom.

Yeah, those doctors in rl just wander about until they happened to find a medical school. If it happens like that in rl, then why not in a game? A game is supposed to be realistic, right? Free? Ugh, this argument is getting very old. 1) There are requirements. 2) The PrC's are in the DMG...

    RANT: The new Lone Ranger

Eh, TV has been bad since it started. I avoided this show due to the commercials, but if you people want to watch a western- go get copies of the old Have Gun, Will Travel. It does not get much better then Paladin. SD

    NYC Abandoned Tunnels

Tortured forms of the other people sent this way, but never made it. All the rats have human faces(if someone looks) and constantly whisper- "run away". The walls of the tunnels have "carvings" of people- as if they were being pulled into the stone walls. SD

    Size Large Feat???

IIRC- you need to take two feats, and both at 1st level. SD

How to DM D&D over email/online?

I can't seem to find it now, but there is a website out there where your can put in a die to be rolled and have the result emailed to as many people as you like. SD

What are you doing with D20 Modern?

The one guy in my group who likes d20 Modern is really excited about UA. I may pick it up- if he intends to run something in it and the players need a copy. SD

You should make the Tiefling be the bartender- gives the ending that Tales From The Crypt kind of feel. SD

[OT] Mister Rogers Dead at 74

What a shame. He was a good man. While I would never allow any of my kids (not that I plan to have any) watch other junk, like Sesame Street,.. I would have had no problem letting them watch MRN. He was one of the few positive forces in the life of children. SD
