    Green Ronin and 4E

It easy for monsters, yes, but not so easy for all the other aspects of the system - skill checks, traps, etc. To make it really interesting, I think you need the system. Setting, though, I can definitely see systemless, but not so much adventures. I think systemless adventures could be fairly...

    H2 Thunderspire Labyrinth - I Have It!

The pdf is only $17.50, I think. Easy to cannibalize from that, though not so easy for the maps. Pinotage

    H2 Thunderspire Labyrinth - I Have It!

Heh. :) No, he was refering to 'Neverending Plot' as I mentioned in my post which he replied to. Pinotage

    H2 Thunderspire Labyrinth - I Have It!

That was my first thought as well when reading through the introductory booklet. Definitely a lot of Descent into the Depths of the Earth, though no kuo-toa unfortunately. Pinotage

    H2 Thunderspire Labyrinth - I Have It!

Yip, definitely. It's kind of reminiscent of Castle Whiterock in a way, but I worry that it suffers from 'Neverending Plot' syndrome. What I means is it feels like you conquer one location only to be told that what you want is at the next. The you conquer the next, only to find out that you...

I'm math deficient... help me please?

OK. 9000000 square feet is about 3000 ft x 3000 ft for a rectangular area. If you've got 746 squares, that's roughly 27 squares x 27 squares. So each square would be 110 ft. as somebody else mentioned earlier. Pinotage

(CSRHoD) CS's Red Hand of Doom [OOC]

Creamsteak, I'm a little confused as to where we are on the map at the moment. You mention 3B and 3G, but I can't seem to place where that is. Is that room 3 on the map, basement and ground level? Is the basement level underwater? Where are we detecting the smell of goblins? Thanks! Pinotage

Goodman Games Dungeon Crawl Classics - So which ones are the best?

Definitely get Castle Whiterock. That's the best of the lot by far. Crypt of the Devil Lich is also good fun, and I quite enjoyed Talons of the Horned, the latter being quite different with a sci-fi theme. Aerie of the Crow god is good, Bloody's Jack gold is fun, but most are fairly good...

    Cost of Core Books PDFs

Just wanted to point out that all three core books now have their bookmarks added, and that Keep on the Shadowfell now has all the 1" scale battlemaps added to it. Yay! Pinotage

    Cost of Core Books PDFs

Thanks, Scott! It's great to know this will happen. I'm not in any hurry, but it makes owning these pdfs much sweeter! :) Pinotage

    Changeover poll

Slight Changeover. I've given 4e a few combat tries, but I'm still 100% on 3.5e at the moment. I am planning on running Keep on the Shadowfell at some point in the future, though. Still, for the next year at least it'll be mostly 3.5e. Pinotage

    D&D 4e PDFs at RPGNow

Yes, but the others are being done. If you go to the product descriptions, there's a bright red text there that informs you of this. Pinotage

    Cost of Core Books PDFs

I thought OneBookShelf (RPGNow and DrivethruRPG) took in the region of 30-35%. When the merger took place, I thought that was the number I saw mentioned, which was why some publishers left to other sites. So if WotC is giving 30% off, and OBS take 30% off what's remaining, it's not far off from...

    D&D 4e PDFs at RPGNow

THE PHB has already been updated with full bookmarks, search, copy/paste, etc. The MM and DMG are to follow, and they're all about 25 MB each. I'm quite happy with these. Pinotage

    Cost of Core Books PDFs

I'm not so sure. At $35 for the hardcover, how much would WotC get? $15 or something. I don't know. They don't get that much more from the pdf since RPGNow/DrivethrRPG take their cut as well. Pinotage

    Cost of Core Books PDFs

Yip. The pdf is much more valuable to me than the hardcover. In fact, given that I wasn't ever planning on buying a hardcover, the pdf is great news for me. People have to remember that those that want hardcovers can get hardcovers, but that that only want a pdf or can't get a hardcover, can now...

    Getting Started

Not sure if there are many 'jobs' available, but there's plenty of freelancing going around. The Open Calls and Vacancies board here is a good place to start, and see if there is something you can get involved in. A good way to start building a reputation is to release something for free, just...

    D&D 4e PDFs at RPGNow

Oooh! You should definitely do that. I cannot drool enough about Castle Whiterock. It's gotta be one of the best 3.5e products produced. Loved it! Pinotage
