Has anyone tried this type of story telling style?

I would suggest spending some time in the world as it is first before going into how much it changes. If you're giving your players "more common" characters, then they'll also be playing around with how they work and what direction they'll want to take them in. Perhaps the first hour or so...

Forgotten Heroes: Fang, Fist, and Song - available at RPGNow.com

Is it for sale in print? If not, then they'll likely pull it once those other classes are added to the official list and PHB2 comes out.

    Dungeon maps for mini use

Your printer does the actual tiling, so you'd want to make sure it's decent and actually understands tiling and overlaying. If you have an Acrobat PDF printer queue for your computer, you can have it tile the whole image to 8.5x11 PDF pages, but I can't remember if it will overlap properly or...

    Mac Map Creator

The only one I know of for the Mac is Dundjinni, but I'm not sure if you can make it look EXACTLY like that one without adding a lot of your own work into it.

Any word on when the Mac version will be ready?

    3DO Deathkeep

Honestly, the 3DO isn't that great and I have no idea about the other systems. For me, it was nostalgic because I had it when I was 20. But when you look at most of the games out there, they're crap. Very few 3DO games got it right.

    Black & White vs Color

Greyscale is still the way to go, even in PDFs because it saves your consumer the cost of printing out the PDF in full color themselves. Quite a few companies used to (not sure about any more) put out a greyscale and full color version of the same book in a ZIP file, but I find that if you use...

    3DO Deathkeep

I'm still trying to find someone from SSI to bill two hours for. If there was a way to look down on your character from overhead, you'd think you were drunk just based on the controls.

    3DO Deathkeep

Yeah, that'll be the same then, but I'm sure the quality was stepped up a bit (not sure when the PS1 actually came out). Slayer just came in today, so that should more than make up for... Dea... Death... ugh, can't even bring myself to say it.

    3DO Deathkeep

Sorry, yeah, Road Rash. Was thinking of the Road Rage races in Burnout. I have a bad feeling you can only save the game after completing the level. To demonstrate just how tricky it is, if you start as the half-elf fighter/mage, you only get one arrow. Sure, you can pick it up repeatedly...

    3DO Deathkeep

Oh God, does it really have to suck this bad? I just picked up the 3DO about a month ago on eBay for two reasons: Road Rage (the only true version the game, complete with urinating dogs and beer bottles) and Slayer. When I was first waiting for my bid to win, I caught sight of Deathkeep...

Query about a peculiar LOTR collectible item

I don't know much about the sword market, but I don't think that is an actual "replica" (and by that, I mean you can't pick it up and actual use it). If it's not sharp, then I highly doubt it has full tang. A buddy of mine has a couple in his games room. They make for a nice display and add...

    Skill Stunts

Very nice. Anything where you can gain extra cool stuff without having to use a feat or gain a new power is good with me. Do you have to declare your intention to roll the higher DC for some stunts or can you gain the benefit if you do roll a higher DC? For example, if you roll 32 on your...

    Feywild, Shadowfell, and Usage

This has come up a couple of times before and that's the consensus on the matter: use your own terms for the planes. If anything, it would be nice for planar terms for 3pp, but the odds of that happening are slim to none. One thing I would suggest is to avoid using your planar term in any...

    Printing scale maps from PDFs?

One thing I've tried is doing a half-assed clone job and leaving a faintly distinguishing mark or gab on the map to give the players a clue that something is there. It simulates a Perception check in a way without requiring one.

    Printing scale maps from PDFs?

If you still take it to a printer, check to see if they have a tiling function on their RIP station. This is slightly more intuitive when it's connected to the printer doing the actual printing and when print actual overlap to make tiling easier. Considering its just a click of button on a...

    Printing scale maps from PDFs?

In Photoshop (and I'm assuming other graphic programs), it's a tool that allows you to quickly copy/paste small section of the image and replace it with something else. For example, you can wipe out room number on a map by using the clone tool to replace the area of the room number with an area...
