Need lots of help with a Vassal of Bahamut

What he said. BTW, what do you guys think of doing Paladin 6/Sword of Righteousness 1/Vassal of Bahamut 6, eventually ending up Paladin 7/Sword of Righteousness 3/Vassal of Bahamut 10? Also, with these feats for now: Weapon Focus (Greatsword) Improved Critical (Greatsword) Power Attack Divine...

    Help me stop my Player!

You also have to keep PCs under some semblance of control. Much like summoning something that gets Wish as a spell-like or supernatural and using it to add 5 to all of their stats, there are some things that can break the game. Calypso

Not to mention being rebuffed (read: tortured) by the demons for drawing so much attention to them. Calypso

Need lots of help with a Vassal of Bahamut

As I've said, it's a 3.0 game. So that would put Divine Vigor in Defenders of the Faith. Calypso

Ahh... that explanation works for me!

    Dumb Damage Reduction question

I've never understood this, or the fact that they're vulnerable against their biggest enemies. I mean, angels have DR/evil, and devils/demons have DR/good. Their DR doesn't work against the person it needs to most! Calypso

    Disjunction, Your Familiar, and You

So would you also rule that M's Disjunction also breaks the bond between a druid and animal companion, or a paladin and warhorse? Calypso

    Dumb Damage Reduction question

No, a person of good alignment does not bypass DR x/good, unless they also have the good subtype (ie, angels, etc). There are feats (Sanctify Martial Strike from BoED) that allow you to bypass DR x/good with natural and melee weapons. Calypso

Need lots of help with a Vassal of Bahamut

Wow, again, thanks for the great reply. The elusive 11th feat is due to a change my DM made to Paladin. Also, Divine Vigor does require Extra Turning, as this is a 3.0 game. You make a good point with the Str/Cha tradeoff. Consider it done! Also good points about Cleave/Great-cleave. We...

Need lots of help with a Vassal of Bahamut

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, those stats include the 3 increases. Not bad, I agree, but definitely not as focused as I like characters to be. Oh well! As for GWF, it's a 3.0 game, so my DM house-ruled a GWF and set the requirement at BAB 8. And, Iron Will... alright. I suppose I do get +4...

Need lots of help with a Vassal of Bahamut

BAB 7, Lawful Good, Craft (Armorsmithing) 5, Diplomacy 5, Sacred Vow, Vow of Obedience, must have killed a juvenile+ red dragon single-handedly. Calypso

Need lots of help with a Vassal of Bahamut

The problem is, I need all good stats. The way I'm seeing it now, they'll be: 16 Str, 14 Dex, 14 Con, 10 Int, 12 Wis, 15 Cha Also, with Resounding Blow/Quell the Profane, the save DC wouldn't be very high (19). So are they still worth it? I will definitely drop Improved Initiative and...

    D&D 3.x Natural Weapon size in 3.5

It's important that you not take that quote by itself. Because if you did, monsters wouldn't be able to power attack with their natural weapons (you can't power attack with light weapons). You also have to consider the "Special" section of Power Attack that says: "If you attack with a...

    D&D 3.x Natural Weapon size in 3.5

You can use power attack with all of the attacks. They're all considered 1-handed. And with secondary attacks (unless it says different), you add 1/2 strength bonus. Sources: Power Attack and Improved Multiattack. Calypso

Need lots of help with a Vassal of Bahamut

So, my character left the party in our D&D game (Faerun, don't worry, there's a Bahamut). I'm working on my new character, and I'm having some problems. First, stats. As far as I can tell, with a Vassal of Bahamut, the only real dump-stat is Intelligence. So I'm having a HELL of a time with...

    Casting while shapechanged...

Can a wizard/sorcerer that shapechanged into an Iron Golem (thereby getting Immunity to Magic) still be able to cast spells? EDIT: Okay, I just read that Iron Golems can't speak. Ignore that fact for the moment. The real question is, can you cast spells while being Immune to Magic. Calypso
