D&D 5E (2024) What is your oppinion of 5.24 so far?

I tried to follow the 5.24 news, but splitting it up into multiple chunks just lost me. As far as I can see, low levels are a little bit easier and weapon "features" are fun. Anything else important that you guys know?

    D&D 5E (2024) Could we get a Bloomburrow (Redwall) setting for 5.24?

There is enough information here to run a 1-20 campaign... and this is only part 1... for MTG! I am sure they could easily put together a campaign book for D&D.

How do you keep your GM notes?

I have an A4 briefcase with no handles (basically a file folder) that I use as a sort of GM screen. If there is an information that I would like to hide from my players the file folder is closed. It has 2 basic notebooks with some random handwritten notes in it (like dwarven names, tavern menus...

https://pathfinderwiki.com/wiki/Guide_to_Darkmoon_Vale and https://pathfinderwiki.com/wiki/Darkmoon_Vale Kinda like Nentir Vale for Golarion. The original author passed away 9 years ago, I thought this area of Golarion won't be developed any more.

    What are "essential" TTRPG mechanisms?

So what is Your essential mechanism? Is it a coin toss? I understand that you defined a situation, but You didn't specify which one of the mechanisms you mentioned is your preferred one.

    What are "essential" TTRPG mechanisms?

If I want to kick in a door I use a strength check. If I want to push/shove an opponent I use a grapple check. Same thing, my character just practiced one (grappling) a lot of times so s/he has an advantage (skill bonus). - My character is a talented and experienced actor, so when s/he tries...
