Naruto is the best anime. EVAR.

Naruto has its occasional moments. The first season was alright, but the second season was pretty much like Dragonball Z with less likable characters. Between episodes 24 and 26, or something like that, the cast of the show quadruples, and thus the pacing of the show comes to an arupt...

What happens to a body when it is brought to -74?

A frenzied berserker that gets zapped with disintegrate while he's in the negatives is just gone, probably. Dust can't swing axes. Just out of curiousity, how much HP did the raging barbarian have before the glabrezu grabbed him? But at -74.. Well, my group has this thing we like to call...

    Pyrohydra's breath weapon?

Yes, they really can do that. Taking on a pyro/cryohydra without the appropriate protection spells is tantamount to suicide.

Regular Campaign Segues Into Tomb of Horrors!!!

It just occured to me that the "violent thrust" function of Telekinesis should be a fantastic offensive spell while in the Tomb.

    Is D&D 3.5 a board game?

It's a role-playing game that can be very easily played as a board game. I find the fact that trying to play the game without a grid just doesn't seem to work to be rather annoying, myself. The games I've been in where we were able to get away with playing without a combat map, we also...

    The world is 99% ocean

There should be a Kraken Society. And I mean one actually composed of Krakens. Anyways, Swim should be an across-the-board class skill. Only the very wealthy have the luxury of not needing to know how to tread water, and most of them will probably know how anyways. Heavy armor and weapons...

Could Predistigation turn sea water into fresh

Don't forget raw fish (or fruit); those would also serve as natural water sources. Isn't prestidigitation actually barred from doing useful stuff?

    Overrunning while mounted

I don't see why you can't a single attack while your mount is trampling someone; it's not that different from a charge attack. You're in trouble if the mount blows the check and gets tripped, though.

    D&D 3.x Grappling [3.0 & 3.5]

I slung around a falchion to deal with that sort of thing. I also had Great Cleave, though.

How to destroy Waterdeep in 1 day?

Specifically, it's Pools of Darkness, which was an old SSI super-high-level game (the level cap was set at 30 or so; I actually hit it) before they went and made it canon with a novel. Bane takes almost every city in the Moonsea region and shoves them into Limbo; Zhentil Keep and Mulmaster are...

    D&D 3.x Grappling [3.0 & 3.5]

Heck with your DM to see what weapon focus/spec and feat can aid with your grapples. From the SRD: Armor Spikes: You can have spikes added to your armor, which allow you to deal extra piercing damage (see Table: Weapons) on a successful grapple attack. The spikes count as a martial weapon. If...

    Necromancer Build - any help?

Wait a minute, two schools? *looks up the SRD* Blech. What idiot decided that all of the schools were actually balanced with each other, and that all of them were actually good enough to be worth sacrificing two schools for? Scrap being a specialist; Necromancer isn't worth it, at all...

    Necromancer Build - any help?

Half-orc? Blech. He actually needs to be a cleric for best results, then. But by L18, he could have a base 20 int. I'd just take 18 straight levels as a wizard specializing in Necromancy. Giving up Evocation would be an interesting choice; Horrid Wilting and his undead army should be more...

    D&D 3.x Grappling [3.0 & 3.5]

I've done it as a fighter; The higher BAB and being able to wear full plate with enchanted armor spikes more than makes up for the monk abilities. You need Improved Grapple from OA. Everything changes once you can start a grapple reliably. It works astonishingly well if there's a second...

    Campaign quotes

Some quotes from a particular campaign (yeah, we actually kept records): P1 to P4: "That's a horrible plan! You might as well walk up to him, scream "I need a ledger," and hit him!" DM to P2: "You're not trained to fight while strapped to the bottom of a shark!" DM: "Is the suspense killing...

How to destroy Waterdeep in 1 day?

Neat idea. But in a world with flying wizards and heavy-duty area spells, just what good are the walls, anyways?

    Transformers or G.I. Joe?

It took freaking Omnicrom to plot-damage Optimus out of existence, but it was also done during the movie, which is about as good as the rest of the Transformers series put together. Also, Optimus Prime "got better" later on in the TV series, in the same sense in which Captain Sheriden "got better."

    Transformers or G.I. Joe?

I voted G.I. Joe. The new Joe comics are actually pretty cool; they also have a fairly respectable body count. Transformers: Armada wrecked whatever fondness I may have had for the Transformers, though. Starscream and Optimus were the only Transformers I even liked. Nobody ever dying in...

    Making a Were-Cactus - now with sample were-cactus, were-pine, and were-sequoia!

Did the player actually say "were-cactus" with a straight face? Hmmm. Were-kelp? You should decide what the HD of the plant form is, since that will be the base hit dice of the shapechanger. A were-cactus probably isn't too tough, but a were-sequoia could probably take quite a beating...

(2nd Edition) Seriously, why it was wise to go around naked, in 2nd Edition D&D

If my DM actually wanted me to make a save for every single item in my character's possession whenever I failed a save, I'd a) have a dead character with no equipment in nothing flat and b) would be looking for a new, less anal-retentive DM.
