Good series! Book 3 is a little bit of a slog and not as good as the previous two, but still really good overall

The first 6 books of the series are actually really good reads, and I was able to get through them very quickly. Books 7-10 are total slog-fests...I remember trying to get through them several years back and it taking me almost 3 times as long to finish them as it did for any of the first 6...

That scene at the end of TLJ was a missed opportunity, IMHO. The way I interpreted it, especially considering it was right after Luke died and faded, was that Luke had become one with the force, and his sacrifice opened the force to a new generation of force users. He "awakened" it within them.

I guess the main thing I would do is look at the final film in the trilogy. The other two films weren't bad; TFA was nostalgic if flawed, and certainly not a terrible movie. TLJ was actually the better of the three movies despite its flaws (that damned casino scene...completely unnecessary). It...

Exactly. I think it was a missed opportunity. I know they had to cut down the run time a little, but even showing a bit of what Palpatine was doing behind the scenes would have been nice. I did like seeing the Snoke thing in the vat, though; that makes me wonder if Snoke was some type of clone...
