Poll - For those who Played - How was it?

Well, what do you know. A lot of people voted the "no vote" option to keep the poll "clean". That's very surprising, and encouraging. Maybe people want as close to an accurate poll as we can get, like me. :)

    Falling Damage?

Falling has always sucked. I'd hoped they would have taken the chance to fix it but I guess not. I'll just use a House Rule. Like I have been ... forever. Bleh.

D&D 4E 4E: The day the game ate the roleplayer?

The consolation is, of course, that 3E isn't going anywhere. There are still many people happily playing AD&D out there. Rock on.

    Insight's D&DXP Blog

It's in the PHB, the scanned pages. In this thread: http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=220420 Someone scanned the Armor section of the PHB and it's visible on some monitors. I transcribed the entire two pages of the PHB revealed into that thread. So, Chainmail and above, no Ability...

    Aristotle's D&D Experience

Another good review. Thank you, sir. The paladin issue, as mentioned above, has been addressed and is being fixed, but there wasn't time to fix it for the event, they say. Twice as many rounds, same amount of time? I'll take it. It will make things feel more like a pitched battle. I wanted the...

    Insight's D&DXP Blog

It's been confirmed that Int does modify AC. Dex is linked with Int, Strength is linked with Con, and Wisdom is linked with Charisma. You use the highest of these scores when determining certain things. Like AC. Oh, and you get no modifiers at all applied to AC, from ability scores, when in...

    A few nit-picks on powers

I agree. Reflex should be included in the bonus. Or, if not, they should force some kind of choice between which image an enemy tries to touch.

    Saving Throws?

Okay, thanks, I was wondering. If you were only allowed to make one then the continuing effects would be much, much more deadly since a couple of them stacked would pretty much guarantee a few rounds of suffering. I'll have to see how the one Save per effect plays. I might want it to be deadlier.

    You ... complete ... me.

Poll - For those who Played - How was it?

If the people who were there identify themselves, then post their opinion here, it could still be very useful. The poll itself is going to be amusing, but for different reasons. ;)

    Implementation of Long-Term Damage

Well, I'm considering pulling out the Rolemaster (or MERP) critical hit tables whenever someone gets to negative hit points. :) "Oh, sorry about that. Your Healing Surge brings you back up to full but you have no limbs."

Yeah, I saw your review, which was nicely done, by the way. Thanks for that. :)

    Armor Class (Reverse Engineering)

I don't know if that was said before, but the actual book itself says that they do not. I imagine some feats in there somewhere to help them get bonuses in other ways, though. Or, hell, it may be a Fighter Path or something that grants another bonus. All we know for sure is that, according to...

Poll - For those who Played - How was it?

Haha, this is so going to be full of votes from people who weren't even there. The people who were there should post and state their vote, so we can have an accurate count. Otherwise we will magically have 500 people who somehow were on the message board this weekend and at the event voting.

    Falling Damage?

First 2 squares (10') don't count. After that, the Fall does 10 + 1 per 2 squares (10') attack against the target's Fortitude. If the attack succeeds, the target dies. If the attack does not succeed, the target takes 1d10 damage per 2 squares (10') he fell and is Stunned. Save ends.

I like the gnome in the PHB, myself. For profiling purposes.

    D&D 4E I have seen the coming of 4e...

This is my opinion completely. I never, EVER, bought a 3.5 book. Why? Because I already bought 3rd Edition. I was, actually, pretty insulted over 3.5 and my group boycotted it completely. I don't understand why anyone would ever buy something they already own, with just some minor tweaks. But...

D&D 4E 4e: You Are Dead to Me

I think you may be overreacting a bit. Remember, after people love 4E for a bit (and I think people will like to play the game, no doubt) they will come out with a book with extended rules for those people more interested in sandbox play and very detailed rules systems. It will be called...

    D&D 4E I have seen the coming of 4e...

To the OP, I'm sorry you didn't like it. I don't agree on several of you balance ... no ... statements, but you seem to have made your mind up. On the very bright side, there's still a wealth of 3E material waiting out there so your days of playing DnD aren't over. Have fun, and enjoy.

    Armor Class (Reverse Engineering)

Here's the section of the photo from the scan that was linked (which shows up very, very clear on my screen). "Armor is grouped into categories. These categories can help you decide what armor is best for you. Your class tells you what kinds of armor you're proficient with. You can take feats...
