A funny thing happened on the way to the Dungeon

You could always reward them with pain and death. That is going beyond the scope of the adventure you have planned is 5 or even 10 levels higher than what they're capable of handling right now. Hopefully they'll realize they're out of their league.

    LOTR - Freaking hilarious!

Normally I just can't stand LOTR humor but that was funny!

    Wilderlands (Random ruin generator)

Yep, Tablesmith. You could build one in Etools too I suppose. There's just something about rolling real dice for me though, I just can't let it go. :)

    Wilderlands (Random ruin generator)

Thursdays are apparently the day I come in to work and don't do anything. So I have my Wilderlands book with me (probably why I'm not doing anything) and I'm playing with the Random Ruin Generator. Works pretty well actually, lots of encounter ideas, you get some cool mental pictures as you're...

    Underdark Preview 9 is up...

I quit buying minis for the same reason I quit playing magic 6 years ago. Too frickin many editions too damn soon and way, way, way too much money.

You Must Fight! For Your Right!

Your principal also has to play politics with all of the inbred slackjawed mouth breathers who happen to be completely ignorant of what D&D is all about and will come out of the wordwork when they hear the school is sponsoring such a ghastly thing. No matter how much you inform your principal...

    Heroscape. Cool or not cool?

Its for kids because the box says Ages 8 and up. :) My son (who was 9 at the time we got it) took to it right away. I'm 36 and qualify for the "and up" part in spades and enjoy it as well.

    Heroscape. Cool or not cool?

It's a one off type combat game. You build the terrain (there are plans in the game manual to make some) set up the combat scenario (comes with that too) and go at it. There are two modes of game play, simple and advanced. I would say though, this game it geared toward younger players. We got it...

How to crush LotR and SW Trilogies!

I'd say maybe the Final Fantasy movie since that is all done in CGI, but the characters are very stiff and not very lifelike. I'd like to see an entire fantasy movie done (no live action) with the same technology used to create Gollum from LOTR. The things that could be done that can't be done...

How to crush LotR and SW Trilogies!

I'd counter your counter with something else if only there were something else to counter it with!!

How to crush LotR and SW Trilogies!

As CGI gets more realistic and efficient I would like to see Forgotten Realms or even Dragonlance done this way. Special effects and scenery could do "fantasy" justice.

    Littering and...littering and....littering and....Smokin' the reefer.

Nice, studied a lot of it in college though (art major). Lots of info.

    Quintessentially Forgotten Realms

Red Wizards are everywhere. Their enclaves are peppered throughout the Realms, if they can't take over an area through force they'll take it over financially undercutting the competition and selling addictive drugs.
