    Dragonlance, do you like it?

Honestly, Chronicles were what i read right as I was getting into D&D in the early/mid eighties. They were the inspiring exciting fiction for a kid n middle school who had trouble reading LOTR. Now later in life, rereading chronicles was less satisfactory - especially with the gaps of time...

    Dragonlance, do you like it?

I think this is a flavor thing. And we all enjoy different ones. I thought the original FR grey boxed set was great and fit what I wanted. Then as each additional edition came out, I didn't enjoy the flavor as much. That is personal taste. I could run FR again, but then i would make it my...

    Dragonlance, do you like it?

I have never understood this personally. Not attacking, but just simply don't get it. Any metaplot is inescapable... it it your world. Do with it as you will. Don't like the post WOS stuff, send the setting spirallying off into your own direction. Mine newer books and supps for ideas and...

    Dragonlance, do you like it?

I think there should have been another option of OTHER. I chose Yes, but only because it was closest. Ansalon is *IN* my campaign world, but it is not the primary continent. It is one of the vast tapestry that makes up my homebrew. Razuur

    Warcraft: The RPG

I give the book an A. I did wonder why they went with scout and not hunter. the other classes, warlock, shaman are there though. Sub variants of the arcanist and Healer. I liked how it was done myself. I could never bring myself to get the Warcraft D20 game, biut the WoW is really great...

    Freeform magic variants?

The best vancian magic variant, Arcana Evolved for its flexibility. As for free form, for me it is a tie between the Black Company or the Talislanta D20. Both are very unique and cool. Razuur

    Best Magic System

If you are sticking with Vancian, then AE is the way to go hands down. That or the Wheel of Time system. If you want flexible, then Black Company or Tal 20 are the way to go. I use all of the above in my games (in fact I merge some together!) and have quite the nifty system ironed out. Razuur

Has the age of the big book arrived?

I cannot lie, I love the new big sturdy fat hardcovers. I end up grabbing one of them off my shelpf versus a smaller one for recretional reads. They are mightily impressive tomes, jam packed with information. I would by more smaller products in print, but frankly, not a lot comes out anymore...

Tell me about The Black Company Campaign Setting

I love the BCCS, but I agree with this post completely. I got the BCCS first, read it, loved it, and then partook the novels. While the novels portray sometimes massive amoutns of violence, the "PCs" seem to make it through, and slowly die off with a suddenness after having gone through years...

    Castle Zagyg arriving soon

REALLY? This is C&C, not OGL or D20? All this time I have been waiting on a game that isn't even for my system. I guess I need to read a little closer! Good luck with it, it looks like a really neat setting. (sigh) Razuur

    Designing a "kitchen sink" world

Thanks! It is really working out well. It is really neat to see the different worlds come alive. The different cultures, differnt ideals, different magicks, and different beliefs... all formultated by the gods/spirits/whatever of that realm. What is really neat is seeing the different...

    Designing a "kitchen sink" world

I wanted my world to have some of everything in it. All of my favorite things from all of my favorite fantasy books, RPGs, etc. So here is what I came up with. I chose one core product (in my case Middle earth) as my foundation and built outwards from there. I then had a massive war occur in...

Atlantis: The Second Age Sampler Now Available

It is kind of wierd if you ask me. One would think they would want publishers to include conversion rules to True20, so that people woud purchase the True20 core book. When I heard that Green Ronin was licensing that out, i was really surprised. More of a limiting factor on their exposure if...
