    MMORPG Beta-testing

Yeah, I did the Asheron's Call one too. Just play around and give as clear of bug reports as you can.

[OT] How many in a gross?

    Actually, it's 12 dozen.

3.5 has caused me physical harm!

I lost a pinky just opening the Monster Manual.

    White Wolf vs. Mongoose

Actually, I have yet to have a single Grell, Mind Flayer, or Beholder appear in my campaign. I could see myself using Beholders, as I don't have anything against them, but I haven't had a need for them. My campaigns tend to be very humanoid-heavy. I like providing mostly intelligent...

Well, I'm now the (proud?) owner of 3.5...

That was really great of them. It's nice to have such good friends, isn't it? :)

    White Wolf vs. Mongoose

Of course I haven't read a lot about them. There was absolutely nothing about them that caught my eye in the one book that I have that had info in them. After the very good reviews about Creature Collection II, I gave the setting a second chance, and yet again it did not meet my personal...

    Identifying products as 3.5?

How about writing "Compatible with the Revised Core Rulebooks" or something like that?

    White Wolf vs. Mongoose

No, no. The gods are cliche. It's the monsters that are bland. See, this doesn't do much for me because I don't like the monsters to begin with. The only one that I can even remember thinking "that's kind of neat" when reading was the Bottle Imp. And that was only because it was similar to...

[OT] Know a good webhosting company?

JaguarPC provides PHP and MySQL, but not ASP.

[OT] Know a good webhosting company?

JaguarPC has some good prices. $7.95/month (or $5.95/month if you pay for a full year) gets you 100 MB of space, 8 GB transfer, unlimited email accounts, and a bunch of other stuff.

Do you admit to being a gamer?

I don't list it because it's not relevant to what I do for a living. I tend not to have a hobbies section, because I've been out of college for a few years and have packed a lot of industry experience into that relatively short period of time.

    White Wolf vs. Mongoose

It's really a combination of things, both for 'why AU' and 'why not the others'. Arcana Unearthed makes the list for a bunch of reasons. First of all, I have always found the quality of the Malhavoc products to be rather high. Also, their useful stuff to crap ratio has been consistently good...

    White Wolf vs. Mongoose

Out of all of those books (both lists), only Arcana Unearthed. Ravenloft is mildly interesting to me as it was one of my favorites in the 2nd Edition days, but I don't think I'll ever play in it again. Mongoose stuff, Warcraft, Everquest, and Scarred Lands are of no interest to me.

    XP Pro question

The fact is, where it was a floor model, software-wise it is a secondhand system. Think about all of the people in the store who have had time to monkey around with it. Even with the security policies, which are not flawless in XP (or any other OS, for that matter), I would not be comfortable...

    More misleading stuff from WOTC

As an impartial third party, I say that WizarDru wins because his quote is verifiable, and on the official WotC site, where Tsyr's comes from 2nd hand information. Case closed. Congratulations, WizarDru!

Help! Our group needs a name.

If you go to this page, you can get the free version of JH NameGen and Rule Pack 2. Rule Pack 2 contains a rule set called Mercenary Companies that can generate some pretty good group names. Some examples include: The Notorious Hands Covenant of the Hidden Ogres The Forgotten Kings The...

Great job! It works very well. I'll be keeping a copy of that on my system. Thanks for a great utility. :)
