    Daunton's Dead Shadow (DM:Ukingsken, Judge:????)

"Aach, never mind. I'll probably remember it when I'm asleep sometime next week," snarls Morvannon. "Let's get to the temple." He gestures to Grakk to precede him, keeping well back from the grisly trophy. Warlock.

    Daunton's Dead Shadow (DM:Ukingsken, Judge:????)

Morvannon stands in thought, a half-memory tickling the back of his brain. "Hang on Magnus, can I see that note again?" What the hey, I'll try a Streetwise roll. 1d20+10=17

    I don't have a copy of Martial Power, what's the ability's name?

Character yes, beast companion no (it specifically says "character"). But you can definitely use this on a dying character, as long as they have Second Wind available. If they don't, your only option is the DC 15 "stabilize" option.

New Tavern Thread: The Hanged Man

Gellan's eyes widen a fraction. "Oh, do not mistake me. I did not do the actual making, there are crafters among my people with much more skill than I in the working of the hide, the stitching of seams. I was able to provide a worthy material for their work." Gellan eyes the purple man for a...

New Tavern Thread: The Hanged Man

Gellan listens to the conversation between the tall monstrous-looking creature and the calm being sitting at a table. These are people of honor, people who understand loyalty and duty, never mind their appearance, he thinks to himself. He approaches the table slowly, nodding to the odd purple...

New Tavern Thread: The Hanged Man

Yeah, I doubt I'll be doing that much damage with my puny little d8 weapons, but it'll be fun, and with a halfling the mobility and evasiveness should be way up there.

New Tavern Thread: The Hanged Man

The door swings open again, and a muscular halfling enters the room. He is clad in armor that seems to have been crafted from the hide of a crocodile, and two leather-wrapped hilts are visible over his shoulders. Nodding stiffly to the assembled people, he says in accented Common, "I greet you...

    Daunton's Dead Shadow (DM:Ukingsken, Judge:????)

Aw man, I thought about doing a Streetwise roll when Morv was looking at the note, but decided not to.

    Daunton's Dead Shadow (DM:Ukingsken, Judge:????)

Morvannon turns sharply at Kamotz's statement. "You...can do that?" he says with a mix of skepticism and astonishment. He is a follower of the death god, I suppose...

    Daunton's Dead Shadow (DM:Ukingsken, Judge:????)

Morvannon moves around to peek over Magnus's shoulder. "This part here looks like 'North Gate', and this....Don-something House, maybe?" Looking more closely, he mutters, "I think this is from the people who were threatening him. The ones who killed the family."

Proposal: Valley of Bone and Talenta Weapon Training

Well, it wouldn't help gnomes unless you also took out the racial prereq.

Proposal: Valley of Bone and Talenta Weapon Training

The feat "Talenta Weapon Training" from the Eberron Player's Guide provides proficiency with three superior weapons (the Talenta Boomerang, Talenta Sharrash and Talenta Tangat), along with a +2 feat bonus to damage rolls with those weapons. To qualify for this feat, a character must be a...

    L4W Discussion Thread IV

I saw the Valley of Bone material and thought it would be a good fit flavor-wise, and then I read about the Talenta stuff and saw that it would be a nice mechanical boost. :) I'm not as concerned about the background itself -- the Valley of Bone regional thing is fine -- except that by RAW it's...

    L4W Discussion Thread IV

Has there been any discussion about the Talenta Plains-related material from Eberron, specifically the background (fairly generic PH2-style, connected to Athletics and Endurance) and Talenta Weapon Training feat for halflings? I'm in the process of creating a halfling Whirling Slayer Barbarian...

    Daunton's Dead Shadow (DM:Ukingsken, Judge:????)

Morvannon occupies himself with examining the remnants of the summoning circle. *This is quite a little workshop down here. I wonder how often he's used it -- or if he's even the one who set it up in the first place...* *hmmf. getting too formal with your magic. new friends rubbing off on you*...

    Daunton's Dead Shadow (DM:Ukingsken, Judge:????)

Gingerly, Morvannon feels around the shallow gash in his scalp. That was a little too close for comfort. He moves over to Varonus' corpse and tears a strip of cloth from the man's robes to bandage himself up. "Assuming the idiot here was telling the truth, that was a lot of effort and pain we...

    Daunton's Dead Shadow (DM:Ukingsken, Judge:????)

I just realized that I didn't take Vrrsk't's mark on the demon into account when I made my post about it smacking Morvannon with an opportunity attack. It still would have hit even with the -2, but up to covaithe if it would have taken the attack and the damage from Divine Challenge.

    Daunton's Dead Shadow (DM:Ukingsken, Judge:????)

"Oh, crap," stammers Morvannon as he sees the monstrous demon walking towards him. Backed into the corner, he frantically gestures to create a blinding flash of light. Unfortunately for him, the demon shields its own eyes with one arm, and its return blow leaves a bloody wound along Morvannon's...

New Setting Element, Arcane Society for PC's

Assuming the big demon doesn't kill us all, I may have Morvannon claim the basement/house in Daunton's Dead Shadow. Looks like the rightful owners are all dead, after all.
