    Only Hit Dice affect max skill ranks. Level adjustment does not factor in at all. Your example, a Rgr1 duergar can only put 4 ranks in to a skill because he only has one HD.

    Since align weapon is a divine spell that gets an alignment descriptor depending on which alignment one places on it, only good and neutral clerics can cast it for holy, not evil ones.

    Super Hero RPG...

    Mutants and Masterminds is a very good Super Hero game, though I can't say it's simple unless you can easily translate over using its rules, which are similar to D&D, but can be drastically different. The book even looks very nice, with some of the art that's even better than in WotC books.

    I usually use large Excel sheets customized for each character. It speeds up the math and exact feat choices, but really doesn't do much else.

    There DR system does not have tiers anymore at all. If it's DR 10/silver, then only silver weapons will bypass it.

    I never saw that part. Thanks for letting me know. It's just those wraiths that you have to look out for now, as their abilities do not mention anything about negative energy.

    Deathward does not protect against temporary or permanent ability damage.

    Nothing says that you can't, so it should be allowed without any thing special. You can still wave your hands around when laying on the ground.

    Druids can't actually wear full plate in 3.5. As far as proficiencies/restrictions, they only gained the ability to not loose spellcasting for using a non-druid weapon.
