Casting while prone?

Anyone know if there are any official rules about casting while prone? Concentration checks and the like?

This came up in a game over the weekend and nobody knew what the actual rule for such things was.

Nothing says that you can't, so it should be allowed without any thing special. You can still wave your hands around when laying on the ground.

I am also unaware of any official rules. We use a house rule of a concentration check with a DC of 10 + spell level.
