What do you think of poison in d20

Wouldn't you really have to limit them. Most creatures are killed off and never seen again, and I haven't been in too many fights where a single creature poisoned the group twenty times.

    Round Vi Is Over

Brew Potion It seems a some people have already voted for improved unarmed strike and improved bull rush so I will go with brew potion. Unless you have a very stingy DM this is a waste of feat, and it seems to get more useless as you gain level. My pick to win is probably power attack...

    1001 Cool Combat Locations

170: In a musium at night where you can hear sounds that are not just the walls creaking. Ahh musium the old modern day classic. 171: Climbing a tower where the stairway is on the outside, and every so often you come upon illusionary stairs that aren't their and invisible stairs that are...

[OT] Mister Rogers Dead at 74

Well I'll miss Mr. Rogers and the trolly. I used to love that little thing. Along with Bob Ross and his happy trees, and his fro, and the way he had to put a little cabin in nearly every single picture he painted. Now that I think of it a lot of the host of former PBS shows have died. I'm...

How do I make it really "low-magic"?

Make them multiclass and only able to take one spellcasting class per non-spellcasting class and limit the spellcasting class to level 5. Make magic items extremly hard to find. Take away a spellcasting abilities from paladins and rangers. Cut the number of people that can cast spells in the...

What the **** is WotC thinking?

I could be wrong about this but didn't you factor in more of the archer's feats. The fighter should get 2 more feats to make it even. Plus sooner or later the archer is going to be forced into melee combat with another fighter and be at a dissavantage.

    Souls as power and commodity

Souls could also be more or less valuable depending on whom they are from. A soul of a commoner might not produce as much energy for a infernal machine as a 25th level wizard and ect.

    Love, truuuuueeeeee love

I play with family members and frankly I don't know how I would approch it. They would look at me strange. We don't play that kind of game anyway.

What was your first PC's name?

My first character was a fighter named Griff the Great who I started playing when I was 4. I only remember because I was talking with my older brother about the good old days during one of our game sessions and he somehow remembered. That was a long time ago.

    TSR Q&A with Gary Gygax

I don't want to get into a political debate because this would be one of the worst threads to close down, but i will be happy to express my oppinion and answer question over e-mail about my oppinions on the second amendment. I will say though that the second amendment doesn't actually give...

[SPOILER] Paladin preblem in the Sunless Citadel

Most of hte time I would let a paladin do things that he normally wouldn't want to do if it was in the cause of the greater good, and the lesser of two evils.

Greyhawk being dumped as the core setting in 3.5

I like to have some awful sounding gods in my game. To have all the gods with cool sounding names just seems too fake and unnatural to me. Just like if every person had a name like Max Power, or Trent Steel.;) In fact having a good name when everybody else in the world had one would make...

How on Earth do you have a tightly controlled D&D world with normal magic (Long)

I think in a world with magic and powerfull people a society ruled by the elite will be easier to keep. Even if a monarch isn't powerful himself most will always be smart enough to keep powerfull people around them, and there will always be people willing to help him out of loyalty, self gain...

D&D 3.x [3.5E] Will Warriors be on equal footing with casters?

High level spellcasters might be able to beat high level warriors in a stand duel, but fighters as long as they have hit points left can dish out damage all day long. If a spellcaster has to use all his spells and scrolls and he can't rest for a while he has the potential to become nothing more...

    Ethnic groups

I don't know if anybody does this, but sometimes I will put in different ethnic groups for non pc species too. It gets boring to always fight the same kind of goblin or troll. As far as stat modifiers, I don't think different races should have them. Not that I think that people all start with...

    This is a Troll [meta-thread]

Do to apperently being lazy and having to many windows open it I accedently post a reply that is intended to be for another thread. Everybody either thinks I am going insane or am some kind of master troll thats spreading napalm over this tread to further the hatred and chaos that seems to be...

What can a magic sword do, that a normal weapon cannot?

I have to agree. All the commercial swords they sell are nothing more than sharp toys. Especially the katanas. I don't know why some people think a stamped out piece of steel is as good as something that is forged and folded over and over by a master swordmaker.

What can a magic sword do, that a normal weapon cannot?

A magical sword will never dull or rust under normal circumstances so their would be no maintance involved with it.
