    China Mieville on D&D

He is an accomplished SF/Fantasy writer. You can check out some of his stuff here. He is the author of what is known as the Bas-Lag trilogy: Perdido Street Station, The Scar and Iron Council. Three great books, and I can only concur with the esteemed Mr. Mona when I say that he's probably my...

Go to Hell. Go Directly to Hell. Do Not Pass Go. Do Not Collect 200 Larvae.

back on topic: For an interesting vision of how hell could look like, I highly recommend Steven Brust's "To Reign In Hell". It's one of my personal favorites. back off topic: what happens to incubi dating succubi? ;)

What class(es) does your group tend to avoid?

Asian-themed classes. Thus far, no ninja has managed to sneak by me ;).

    Shemmy's Planescape Storyhour #2 (Updated x3 10-17-07)

*grins* It's basically taking abstract concepts like hunger, death etc. and making them a person in your plot, able to act and think and all that. Yeah, I know that this isn't exactly what you've done here, but since I'm no writer either, it was the best comparison I could come up with ;). I use...

    Shemmy's Planescape Storyhour #2 (Updated x3 10-17-07)

I see that you like to use personification as a stylistic device, too :D. But seriously man, great work, as usual! Just get published already :). Oh, and I'm looking forward to the new PCs.

    Spells of Mass Destruction

I am indeed, and here's hoping we will see more of that in the future . I really like the approach you've taken in DL.

    Spells of Mass Destruction

There's some nice spells in the Dark Legacies Player's Guide :).

    Deathknell Gallery up

Actually, the only ones that look remotely interesting are the dragons and Mr. Beholder himself. But there's no way I'm paying the usual price for the rest of this set. The word "junk" comes to mind...

    Art in books

I have to admit, I sometimes buy RPG books for the art alone.

    Your least favourite setting

Greyhawk is just plain boring. It is now, where it is provided with no background whatsoever, and it was then, when every adventure and book was set in GH. I guess it's just too black'n'white and too "standard fantasy"-esque for my taste, as I only seem to like the "different" settings: PS...

Make it a swift action, then :).

    Shemeska's Planescape Storyhour (Updated 29 Jan 2014)

*grins* Well, I'm willing to bet that at least one PC in my campaign would do the same in your situation ... we'll see :D. Anyway: that was pretty powerful stuff there, Clueless. *chuckle* Did you ever empty the globe?

    Shemeska's Planescape Storyhour (Updated 29 Jan 2014)

Somehow, the whole "Clueless and the sphere" situation seems to call for a sudden catastrophic event :D. Oh, did anyone (=the other PCs) notice that the spell he cast vs. the keepers was beyond his usual capabilities?

Help me defend a pass. (My players go away!)

Allright, then. Some suggestions: 6 days is more than enough wood for a palisade. Have them build one, but one with a clearly accessible gate in it (which will be locked, of course). What I'm thinking of is something like this: (yeah, time for l33t ascii stuff) X...

    Unique Classes/Templates/Races for players

I have developed core classes, PrCs, feats, other mechanics - you name it. The real trouble, in my experience, is to determine where "helping a player play a certain concept not covered by the RAW" ends and where "player wants to be able to do everything all at once" begins ...

Help me defend a pass. (My players go away!)

What party level are we talking here? Is there a supply of wood nearby (for a reasonable amount of fortification), or a quarry?

[native english] Translations - Fantasy Language

Although the rest of what you said was true, this isn't :). German uses lots of phs, for example in Photo, Physik, Delphin (et cetera ...). But otherwise, I have to sort of back Thanee here. My campaign is a weird mixture of german roleplaying and english creature names, feats, spells, etc...

"We have to speak to the queen!" [Advancement in Court]

First of all, thanks for your input so far :). die_kluge: I think I may have confused you there. - King rules (most trusted advisor (MTA) backing him up) - MTA is dominated/blackmailed/whatever by BBEG and kills the king - MTA becomes the new queen Now, the PCs may have had some connection to...

"We have to speak to the queen!" [Advancement in Court]

Hi folks, I've come up at a dead end while doing my prep work for the next sessions of my campaign, while working out long term developments. I decided to present you with this situation, and hopefully get some input from the creative community here :). The problem is as follows: Where I'm at...
