    Attacking my PC's at night

Battle isn't necessarily the first indication of danger. If the lookouts actually did their job well, they would see the enemies before they attacked. This is the reason for the shout as free action, or shake as a standard action. The -5 rule is incase no one is on watch and someone might be...

    Can I move 0?

Ah, right... Not sure if I'd allow that... but w/e.

    Can I move 0?

Why would you want to?... Well, okay. Maybe when using a power and you don't want to shift. But is there any reason to spend a move action to move 0 squares?!

    Clarification on Push needed

Talking about a rule is considered conflict? That's um... yeah. Don't tell the DM that they're wrong... Ask how they came to that conclusion. Ask why Slide is different than Push/Pull, even though they follow the same rules except for direction. The strangest thing about the ruling is that...

    Warlock multiclass question

Strict Reading: You don't gain the pact, you just gain the at-will attack and ability to take paragon paths of that pact. Therefore, you don't gain any bonuses relating to having that pact. Liberal Reading: Why not?

    Clarification on Push needed

"YOU push the target..." That should be clear enough. It's not "The target forcibly shifts away from you..." Not quite sure what you're looking for. The person doing the pushing does indeed pick where the pushee goes. It's Forced Movement, not Forced Go-Wherever-You-Want.

    Artificer playtest any good?

ATM, daggers or shuriken are probably the best to use as an Artificier. I guess you could also have 2-4 crossbows preloaded on your body for longer range shots. Minor action to draw, fire the shot, then drop the crossbow.

    Ranged Basic Attacks

Personally, having a slightly more powerful crossbow with longer normal range that also plays off intelligence is all the incentive you need to use magic missile. Basic attacks are just topping on the cake.

    Artificer playtest any good?

At first glance, artificers are pretty close to clerics of technology. Looking at specific powers... HI: Restorative Formula is exactly the same as Healing Word. HI: Curative Admixture is like an encounter Bastion of Defense (but the ability itself seems to suck). and so on... Pretty much...

Gleemax on death row, news at 11.

Hooray! I applaud WotC's effort for trying to centralize the gaming community, but they just shouldn't have really bothered. And truth be told, their PBP forums suck. I mean... they work as forums... but they're nothing they could be. If you want to see PBP forums, check out...

    Two-Weapon Fighting Rules?

The implied rule for off-hand is that you can not hold two one-handed weapons, unless one of them contains the off-hand property. No rule outright says this but it is accepted even in the CO forums, which should say something.

Dilettante + Arcane Disciple = Thunderwave twice?

The paper trail is nonexistent, because there is not a restriction. It's also been "confirmed" by CustServ. And AFAIK, they have all been saying you can do.

    Two-Weapon Fighting Rules?

    Ack, forgot about that... :hmm:

    Two-Weapon Fighting Rules?

Good point. Passing Attack (Fighter 1), Rain of Blows (Fighter 3), Sweeping Blow (Fighter 3), Come and Get it (Fighter 7), etc. can all be used with multiple weapons.

    targetting bursts/blasts with cover

Correct. If you can see it, you can target it for purposes of choosing the origin square. Right. It's meant to be powerful.

Does the "marked" penalty apply to OA's?

An OA is an attack.... I fail to see the question. Attack means any attack, not "an attack on your turn that you instigate." Sorry if this seems harsh... but an attack is an attack is an attack.

    Two-Weapon Fighting Rules?

Ranger does not mean nature-hippy or military scout. Ranger is a two-weapon fighting specialist. Ergo, anyone who is a two-weapon fighting specialist is a ranger. A two-weapon fighting fighter is a ranger that tries to be a defender and ends up sucking at it. A two-weapon fighting rogue is a...

    Uncouncious inspiring word

They actually do work. What better way to spur your comrades to victory than to fall in the heat of battle?! But yeah, a couple abilities just don't make sense when you go unconscious.
