Pathfinder 1E Are druids overpowered in Pathfinder?

Not sure about Pathfinder, but I remember reading somewhere that AC=level+15* or so is a good ballpark for 3.5. Obviously AC depends on many factors... *: Say plus-or-minus 5 depending on class. EDIT: Someone's already done the math for 3.5.

Pathfinder 1E Are druids overpowered in Pathfinder?

Focus on this. The more I think about how to make a melee-focused druid, the more I think suckage. Your AC is going to be in the auto-hit/crit-me levels, unless you skip spell casting altogether...and even then I'm not sure. I would love for someone to prove me wrong.

Pathfinder 1E Are druids overpowered in Pathfinder?

Since you keep your physical stats while wildshaped (plus/minus stat bumps depending on size only), druids that want to do it all are pretty MAD. Unless you have huge point buy/rolls, you'll likely have to choose to focus on either spell casting or melee. They remain a very good class, IMHO, but...

    Quick Witch questions ...

    (1) I'd say yes; I don't see an explicit no. (2) It seems that only blight and cauldron don't have explicit durations. I would rule that either ends once another hex is placed, or if the witch ends it earlier.

    Best 3-person party?

Druid, Cleric, Wizard. You should be able to cover all your basic party roles, in doors and out; and all three can summon meat shields, so you really don't need to have a strictly melee-type.

How do you like your probability of success?

Let's say 100% means you cannot fail to succeed in the encounter (achieve the objective, e.g., kill all the baddies), while 0% means you cannot win (you can run away, but TPK if you don't). Though I believe you, that answer surprises me. (BTW: "Hard-fought" doesn't have to mean "grinding," at...

How do you like your probability of success?

I would totally agree with you that there is more to an epic fight than odds, and that those things (evocative descriptions, imagination, etc.) are critical, but surely seeing that the odds are against you and yet somehow pulling it off makes it that more fun, right? In any case, our campaigns...

How do you like your probability of success?

Sooo...take that thought one step further. Obviously an auto-win (100%) isn't fun for you, but neither is an auto-TPK (0%). What odds make for the epic fight?

How do you like your probability of success?

For a typical encounter, how do you like your odds? My first poll: I have no idea how to do this, so forgive me if I frak it up. Edit: Allow me to rephrase: For the most fun encounters, what constitutes the most fun odds of success?

    D&D 3.x Why be a 3.5 fighter?

Partisan rhetoric? Whatever gave you that idea? Maybe you confused my post with another.... Anyway, I was just pointing out that your own "reasoned" contribution to the discussion seemed to be undermining your claim regarding Wolf vs. Fighter.

Ultimate Magus no 9th level spells?

The work-around: You need to take Practiced Spellcaster (Complete Mage) as your 3rd level feat, applied to Beguiler, so that when you enter UM, your Wizard *CASTER LEVEL* is actually lower than your Beguiler *CASTER LEVEL*, so you choose to bump the Wizard level. Then at UM 4 the *CASTER LEVELS*...
