    Most powerful, flexible party

I'd rather a cleric and a warlord, so as not to waste the +initiative bonus, and other foot stepping that'll surely go on. Plus, too many melee'ers in one group causes bad-ness.

    "Can't finish its action..."

Makes sense to me, and it's definitely how I'd play it. But is it what the rules say? I haven't the faintest clue.

Paizo How do I? Looking for a rule

Disarm - weapon versus reflex, then strength versus fort. Both hit = they drop their weapon in their square (move action to pick it back up). Note that that is not a real rule, but I think it seems basically fair. For Sundering, I'm kind of glad sundering is gone. It was silly for many reasons...

Does the character count as his ally

There is even a Utility Power, Warlord's Boon (Sword Marshal 12) that lets your Ally powers effect you, too.

    Help me build: Jayne Cobb

I think he'd most likely be a Ranger (either, but able to do both), or a Brutal Rogue. Fighter may work, but the fact that it has no ranged abilities makes me not feel like it represents Jayne's versatility. Then again, this is pre-guns, so melee weapons are actually mildly useful...

    Kobolds: Too powerful?

Sure, shifting as a minor is decent, but move actions really are rarely that important. Kobolds should be +2 dex, +2 cha, but then their shifty power would be worth even less (because of Elusive Target). Bugbear, Drow, Longtooth Shifters - these are the overpowered races. Kobolds are okay.

    Marking via Dragon's breath

It does work. You challenge them by attacking them. Breathing fire challenges them. Plus, it's not overpowered, either. It's just good.

    Power attack rules question

It's arguable, but if you swing mildly, you miss more wildly. My response. And Power Attack + Reaping Strike is DAMN good already.

    Magic Item Keywords Question Answered

Lasting Frost + Frost Weapon is pretty silly, especially in conjuction with that other one with combat advantage. Silly. Tut tut. Ruins the fun of a rogue entirely. Not telling my group about THIS one.

    D&D 4E Favorite 4E classes(all)

Funny, Warlock is doing the best, and though it's awesome, it's, in my opinion, the weakest of the 4e classes, for several reasons. NOT BY MUCH though, like, by the tiniest margin - don't yell at me for this. Warlord is my favorite class, ever. It totally suits my playstyle, and RPing it is...

CustServ on "What is 'an attack'?"

I love you :D But why does it matter if it is an attack? It is an attack, by all definitions. But it is not an attack roll. Any particular examples?

    Cloud of Knives kills minions?

Bwahaha, finally people are starting to argue on my side. Though it's all by mistake. Many of you don't understand the argument, because you're looking at it from a closed-minded view. Which I am too, but in a different way - I am assuming that I am right and giving my reasons for it. Until...

    Cloud of Knives kills minions?

That'snot at all the same thing. Attacking multiple people is easy. Hitting one person four times? Not so easy. Also, being surrounded isn't really a good thing. Specific beats general, and Rain of Blows specifically doesn't say "per attack". Nowhere in the rules is there the general rule "if...

    Cloud of Knives kills minions?

I'm using the only definiton of attack which makes sense. An attack. Either an attack power, or an attack roll. In this case, I'm using it as power, because attack rolls do not do damage on a miss, attack powers do. It's relatively easy to read "a missed attack roll never damages a minion" as...

Sleep and sorta a 4th ed ? in general

Woah, DO NOT BUFF SLEEP, haha. Sleep is unbelievably potent if used properly. I'm playing a level 3 wizard, and it's won us no more or less than one fight a day. Not *quite* single handedly, but pretty damn close. I'm also an Orb wizard with 15 wisdom, but that doesn't really matter - the...

    Longspear strategy (or lack thereof)

Polearm Gambit is very good. I'm considering playing a Spear fighter at some point, as you can get a lot of cool powers. Max Strength, but after that, there's a bit of trouble, as Wisdom and Dexterity are both very useful. At least 15 dex for Rain of Blows, and 15 Wisdom for Polearm Gambit and...

    Cloud of Knives kills minions?

Wall of Fog doesn't do damage, does it? So how is that relevant to minion killing? They don't die when they've been effected by an attack, they die when they take damage.

    Cloud of Knives kills minions?

Okay, let me argue Rain of Blows. Rain of Blows is CLEARLY only two attacks. In the hit line, it doesn't say "1[W]+strength per attack", it says "1[W]+strength". So, even if it is two attacks, it only does the damage once, by the rules. And that's silly. The two attacks thing comes from the...

    Cloud of Knives kills minions?

That doesn't follow. Attack rolls are attacks, but no where does it say that Attack Powers are NOT attacks. All fligs are flugs, but are all flugs fligs? EDIT: Oh yeah, I'm tired, and going to bed, so I forgot to mention.. Things like Wall of Fire are INDEED attacks. Attack Powers. G'night...

    Cloud of Knives kills minions?

Because that's RAW, and I also believe it's RAI that an at will that causes minor scratches should not remove minions from combat.
