    Baleful Utterance & Readied Actions

Warlock SLA's always have somatic components.

Improved Life Drain and Fell Drain (Libris Mortis)

You're reading the right Fell Drain, but did you read Improved Life Drain? It doesn't specify whether it works on spells or not.

    Making Player Rolls

That jus doesn't seem that much fun, though we also use spreadsheets (not when I DM I memorize everything :X)

    Making Player Rolls

I'm *always* suspicious and cautious as a player, so my DM's don't need to worry about that with me! ... but they do anyways, because they assume my paranoia isn't strong enough to compare to a failed spot check. Ha. Um, let the players roll, tell them what they're rolling for, and make them do...

Can you trick someone into Voluntarily Giving up a Saving Throw?

Thank you Hyp, otherwise spells like Rouse wouldn't make sense. I knew someone could argue my argument better than I could!

Can you trick someone into Voluntarily Giving up a Saving Throw?

Nah, it's in the nature of "making a save". Your body (even will) automatically reacts to things that it knows are bad for it. Or at least that's what I figure :P

Improved Life Drain and Fell Drain (Libris Mortis)

Do these two work together? I find it clear by the way they work that Fell Drain isn't quite the same as bestowing negative levels. I know that Fell Drain is (su), but my player has an undead graft that lets him cause negative levels... By the exact wording, this should work, but I don't think...

Can you trick someone into Voluntarily Giving up a Saving Throw?

Actually, I'm pretty sure you can tell when a spell is "Harmless" as it's cast on you, and whether or not to resist.

    Sleep Deprivation

Should be a fortitude save. :P

    Hiding and SLA's

Good luck identifying the somatic components with a listen check :P Yeah, one cool thing about warlocks is the complete lack of verbal components.

    Is celerity broken?

Sorry, I meant Dimension Lock, I often mix the two up.

    Play Testers/Substance Abuse

For the same reason that Swashbuckler and Samurai are also weak-ish classes - not everything can be super strong. PHB1 is still where the strongest... everything is. Druid, cleric, wizard, the spells... For early supplements, things like Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil and Frenzied Berserker and...

    Wizard Alternatives

Wizards get less skill points because they don't do varied things on your average day (wish I could think of a better word than varied)... Like, you read books. Whereas a rogue runs around dismantling traps and jumping and climbing and et cetera.

    Is celerity broken?

Celerity! Time Stop. Dimension Anchor. Force Cage. The fight is over, especially if there is no time limit - you can prepare each spell once a day, and they last longer than that, so just take your time and wear them away. Cloudkill is probably the way to go, though.

    Whirling Steel Strike & TWF?

Yeah, only your mainhand gets the extra flurry attacks.

    Tank Building: 101

I have a Crusader 6/Cleric 1/Ruby Knight Vindicator 6 in my group at the moment - he's extermely hard to deal with, as he can do insane amounts of damage using a floating shield and a +1 keen shocking burst greatsword - something like (with a +24 to hit and 34ish ac) 3d6 + 8d8 +16, and then...

MIC- Did the price of mithral change? Is mithral armor too cheap?

Balance isn't the only issue in D&D. Also, Adamantium is really hard to sunder.

Immediate Actions *can't* be used when flat-footed?

No, using swift actions as standards is different from immediate as swift, because using an immediate action counts as your swift action for the turn, wouldn't using an immediate action count as your swift action?

    Dire Charge

None of these posts have anything to do with the question he asked, haha. But, no, in answer, Dire Charge is built the way it is on purpose, play a Swiftblade if you want to move then full attack.

Immediate Actions *can't* be used when flat-footed?

Well, you can take Swift Actions while flat-footed (oddly enough), so you could just take the Immediate one on your own turn as a swift one... But also, of course you're flat-footed outside of combat, that's what "flat-footed" means - you're not in combat yet.
