In the Beta, a character gets either an extra hitpoint or an extra skill point for each level they take in their favored class. I'm fairly certain that made it into the final rules. So just add their level to what they would normally get from their CON, and you get the current totals.

I don't get the "no hook" statement either. "Anything goes" is one hell of a hook for a lot of people, and I know that's what set it apart from the other campaign settings for me. Trivia: It was also the only D&D setting to get two arcade games.
